Publisher's summary

After missing out on the chance to represent the United States in the last winter games, Isaac McAllister’s focus was second to none. He spent the past few years away from his family training for this moment. He had a dream, a dream that only came every four years, and he would do anything he could to make it happen. Even if it meant breaking hearts along the way. Olympic gold was the prize, love would just have to wait.

Canadian Foster Donovan Jr. had it all. Money, fame, and good looks. But what his peers truly envied was his natural talent on the slopes. Two-time world champion and defending Olympic gold medalist, Foster would do anything to defend his status as the best of his generation and join the ranks of the greatest alpine skiers. Even if it meant crushing the dreams of the only man he’d ever loved.

What would Foster and Isaac do when the price of their ambition became a heartache for the other?

A dream four years in the making. Two countries. Two men. One Olympic gold medal. All the White Lies We Tell is a story about rivals turned lovers vying for the same glory.

quick, touching, and very sweet

I loved the special setting, I haven't read about skiers before and it was totally refreshing. ❄️
I loved the writing (this is the author's first book I've read, and it definitely won't be the last). ❤️
I loved the way their sweet relationship developed and especially the spice scenes – which were really, really spicy!!! And I loved how each of them felt comfortable enough to give up their power for the other, outside and especially inside the bedroom. 🔥🔥🔥

However, many parts of the story made no sense. For example, Isaac's participation in the Olympics included training with a professional coach for a period of only about a month. Maybe I don't understand much about skiing, but the Olympics requires more extensive training… doesn't it? 🤔
But mostly, I didn't understand Isaac's fear of people finding out his secret. I waited to find out what he was hiding, and when I finally did, I scratched my head in confusion and said "Seriously? That's it…?" 🤦‍♀️
Plus, Foster's reaction to the secret was very exaggerated and felt like a way to create unnecessary drama in the story. 🙈

In addition to that, the reaction of the heroes to the results of the Olympics were not really believable. After all, they are athletes competing against each other in the most important competition in the world… But I didn't really mind, because this scene totally made me smile. 😂❤️

All in all, it's a quick, touching, and very sweet read (that will absolutely make you blush when you get to the bedroom scenes). 🌶
Although this is the second book in the series, it can definitely be read as a standalone (I haven't read the first book) ❤️❄️

• I listened to the audiobook, which was cute. The narrator definitely did a good job, but he voiced both characters, so sometimes I got confused and had to go back to remind myself who's POV I'm listening to…

Amazing!

I fell in love with these two immediately and they will stay in my heart for a long time! Great character development and secondary characters. I'm now going to read every book by this author I can get my hands on, but I'll always remember my first!

Perfection!!!

All the White Lies We Tell tells a story about two men with the same dream, but what they found was each other. A book with so many layers and the emotional journey both Isaac and Foster had was so beautiful to witness. Highly recommend this book.

Michael Dean did a phenomenal job with this story! Garry Michael plus Michael Dean equals perfect pairing!

Garry Michael Wins Gold!

I’ve said this before and I’ll say this again. Garry Michael is probably one of the best MM storytellers out there. This book has it all. Love, passion, emotions, humor and steam. This is by far my favorite read this year.

Just amazing!

Wonderful

Super enjoyable, audio book. Great characters good story. predictable, yes, but that’s OK. I like Michael Dean as a narrator, but my main complaint is that he is not able to distinguish between different character voices. He’s got one speed, which in a case like this is a disappointment. Nonetheless, great audio experience, which I highly recommend.

Another Winner From Garry Michael

One of the best sports romance I’ve ever read. Emotional, funny and very steamy. A well written story that will stay with me for a long time.

A Wonderful Book

If you read my review of this beautiful book after I had read the ARC then you would know that I gave it 5⭐️ and absolutely loved it.

After listening to the audio book I still love it. Michael Dean brings the characters to life and I fell in love with Mac and Oz all over again. As I was listening to them trying to win gold in the 2022 Beijing Olympics I had the Winter Olympics on the TV and watching those guys hurtling down the mountain, all the white snow and the bluest of skies it could well have been Mac and Oz and let’s not forget Yoshi, I loved Yoshi.

I mentioned in my book review that Garry didn’t hold back with the steamy scenes, well listening to Michael Dean bringing those scenes into my living room I almost felt like I was there and enthusiastically cheering them on, a bit worrying!😂

For those of you who enjoy audio books then I would highly recommend this one.

Loved!

I loved this book! Isaac and Foster had a bumpy start, with a quick smooth over to start a friendship that turned into more. I loved the secondary characters and the amount of emotional range from one moment to the next kept me on my toes. The narration was perfect and performed a lively story to keep me entertained throughout the entire book.

Garry Michael Is Amazing! I Love His Books!

Absolutely incredible. I love love this audiobook so much! Michael Dean’s voice is beautiful and enchanting. I listened to this on a roadtrip and it passed the driving so fast. It had me laughing and swooning so hard!!!

This story had so much heart. You instantly fall hard for Isaac and Foster. Feeling their emotions and their experiences throughout the entire story. Their paths are so different but the goal in the end is the same, happiness. Their determination to both find happiness in their sport and in their life had me hooked and sobbing. I cried happy tears, sad tears and tears of joy. I felt like I was literally a spectator listening to the Olympics, routing for Isaac and Foster to win.

Absolutely incredible! I loved this audiobook soooo much!!! I need more Garry Michael books and Michael Dean’s voice in my life!
