Realizing you have a surviving neighbor after the world is overtaken by the undead isn't always a good thing. Unless that neighbor is the grumpy, armed, and retired Green Beret Gilbert Donohue. In that case, finding out you've got a neighbor is a lot like hitting the proverbial jackpot.
Adrian's piecemeal life on campus since "That Day" has been a struggle. Retrieving supplies from local neighborhoods filled with the walking dead has been dangerous for him, but he's stayed alive by being a little smarter than the other survivors, and a lot faster than the roaming, hungry zombies that have overtaken his home town, and the world.
In Alone No More, the second installment in the smash hit series Adrian's Undead Diary, Adrian's life is poised to become even more complicated and dangerous when some familiar faces find their way to ALPA with some less than friendly folks on their tail. For the first time the breadth of Adrian's Apocalypse widens to reveal the death of one of the oldest cities of mankind in one of the most popular of all the AUD short stories: Jerusalem.
Sometimes in the cold of winter, the only thing that can keep you warm is freshly spilled blood. Alone No More is the second entry in the AUD series, and covers Adrian's journal entries from December 3, 2010, through December 27, 2010. Intermingled with his personal diary entries Alone No More also contains five short stories: "One Mistake: The Last Stand of Hall B", "Putting a Name to a Face", "Exodus", "Jerusalem", and "The Chief".

The thing I really like about this series is how real it feels. It definitely has a TWD feel to it. This shit is happening, what are you going to do to survive! I also like that we get little story snippets from other people. Almost every person that Adrian meets is somehow connected to some other part of the story and we get to go back and see it come together. However, I am ready to see Adrian move forward in his story and with the ending of this book we are definitely heading in that direction. Good stuff here! If you're looking for a good zombie book you should definitely check this series out.

What made the experience of listening to Alone No More the most enjoyable?
the story is written in a journaling format but don't let that throw you off, it's more like an ongoing story with the date thrown in every now and then. It's a good zombie Romp and the narration is top notch. The only annoying part is the author has an issue with masturbation. It's like telling me every time the guy has to go pee. ENOUGH already! It does nothing to add to the character or the story and gets, well, boring. If you go on to read additional books; it's still there. I sure hope there's a point to this because it seems like adding words to plump the book. I don't care how much the character does his thing. Now tell me about every pee

Chris Philbrook has a way of making you care and feel the same way about the characters in the book that Adrian does. Including Adrian. I'm totally engrossed. I reallize this review doens't tell you about the actual book... but all you really need to know is that these books are worth the credit and then some.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE BOOKS!
