Publisher's summary

At 28 Ariel Hamm is ready to start focusing on what she wants. After her fiancé unexpectedly ends their engagement, she seeks to redefine who she really is. A pilot for Boswell International, Ariel knows flying is not her first love. Unhappy, she finally makes a decision based on what she wants - to live on the property she purchased in Wyoming and care for the stray and neglected animals that have always captured her heart. Her plans change suddenly when she finds herself on a warship headed for a distant planet. Determined never to let another man distract her from her dream or break her heart, Ariel makes plans to escape and make her way back home - no matter what. What she doesn't expect is an alien male just as determined to keep her by his side.

Mandra Reykill never thought he would find his true mate so unexpectedly. His dragon recognizes her immediately and falls in love with the delicate beauty, and his symbiot is enchanted with her gentle touch and kindness. Unfortunately, all Mandra gets is a stubborn female refusing to acknowledge his claim to her and determined to escape from him at the first available moment. To top it all off, his nice, orderly life is turned upside down when he finds his home - and his warship - suddenly infested with creatures from all over the galaxy. Now he must find a way to convince Ariel he is the alien for her while trying to keep his sanity. But Mandra is not the only alien wanting to claim Ariel; another has set his sights on her and is just as determined. Can Mandra convince the stubborn beauty that they have a future together?

A few things are off, but great book!!!

Great novel, I am glad they got to explore other aspects of the Valdier planet and people.

But they said Ariel is a bigger women and the women on the cover is not , also Cara on book cover is blonde, but Cara in the book is red-head?

but good book if you love scifi, romance, fantasy, and adventure

Same Great Story Again

The next book needs to give me something different. I love the story line as a whole, but this book was just more of the same old thing.

Funny and sexy sci-fi romance!

This fourth audiobook in this series just was funnier than the rest, in my opinion! Ariel’s tendency to gather small animals wherever she goes has been a trait of hers since childhood. Unfortunately, the ones she finds on the way to Valdier and after her arrival are seen by the dragons as tasty exotic snacks, which made for some laughable moments. I like the relationship that developed between her and Amanda, her fated mate. Narration was very well done.

Mandra  and Ariel

Ariel has been a lover of animals since an early age. She claimed that they all needed her to take care of them, even skunks and snakes. So when she got taken by the Valdier and found out that they had animals on board that were going to be eaten, she stole them all and put them in her cabin on board the ship.
Mandra  has been craving a mate. When the humans were transported onto the planet and he saw Ariel he knew she was his. Even when she hurt him repeatedly by breaking his nose and even knocking him on conscious.
The book was okay but wasn't as good as the others. The narrator did an awesome job though.

Wonderful book!

Would you listen to Ambushing Ariel again? Why?

Yes, I love the series and the characters!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ambushing Ariel?

When Ariel saved the animals from getting eaten.

Which scene was your favorite?

It's hard to pick one. There were many great scenes but one was when Ariel went under the bed and Mandra's dragon almost squashed her.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, all of the series is like that. It's hard to stop once you start!

Any additional comments?

Great writer and narrator!

You still can be you and let someone in to love you and take care of you and you have to trust each other

Enjoyable series

Charming book in an enjoyable series. Again, overlap with events in previous stories, but from this M/F viewpoint, & with their additional storyline. As always, Brenin has become the voice of this series & I can hear the characters, not "the narrator" when listening.

Just As Good

Although the beginning was a little tedious it wasn't as repetitive as the other two. I enjoyed knowing more about the other characters and meeting some new ones. All-in-all it was a very entertaining listen.

Trisha

This was another great story except, the goddes plot with Trisha on the desert moon needed further development. I understand how the necklace given to her by the 12 inches creatures came in handy during her fight with the evil uncle, and its role in freeing the uncle's symbiant, but we need further detail on this ancient legend of the goddess.
