About this listen

“I learned a long time ago to never fall in love with your dealer. The guy selling you crack isn’t there to be your friend. But there aren’t any rules when it’s the dealer of your drugs.”

Recreational bodybuilder and Oklahoman Chris shines bright in his beige world of IT. After years of hard work, he pursues the darker side of bodybuilding. What starts as casual steroid use soon grows into a small drug manufacturing empire.

When a business trip brings him to San Francisco during Dore Alley, a prominent BDSM/leather fair, Chris plunges into the experience guided by Ryan, a high-profile meth dealer he met on a gay hook-up site.

San Francisco gleams with promise, party, and play. But when Chris faces questions about love and longevity, happiness, and confidence, he must choose between his safe existence and Ryan’s vibrant unsustainability.

American Dragon exposes chemsex culture, the whirlwind world of gay hookups, and the ends we’re willing to go to find someone just as insane as ourselves.

Not for the faint of heart. Both delightfully evocative and provocative. Brandon not only enthralls you with a riveting tale, he narrates with the passion of his characters reeling you in more.10/10 would recommend.

I am very uncomfortable when it comes to drugs and addiction, but trying to over come that. It was initially hard for me to get into. A few chapters in I felt more comfortable and I was hooked. The story was realistic, the characters likeable, and the narration was great. Living in Oklahoma as a gay man the representation was on pont. This book helped me realize that life goes on, and people who do drugs are just that. People.

Uniqe and Utterly Human Story
