From New York Times best-selling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward comes an unexpected love story that started with a boy and girl and heats up when the man and woman reconnect.
I’d never forgotten him - a man I’d yet to meet.
Griffin Quinn was my childhood pen pal, the British boy who couldn’t have been more different from me. Over the years, through hundreds of letters, we became best friends, sharing our deepest, darkest secrets and forming a connection I never thought could break.
Until one day, it did.
Then, out of the blue, a new letter arrived. A scathing one - one with eight years of pent-up anger. I had no choice but to finally come clean as to why I stopped writing.
Griffin forgave me, and somehow we were able to rekindle our childhood connection. Only now we were adults, and that connection had grown to a spark. Our letters quickly went from fun to flirty to downright dirty, revealing our wildest fantasies. So it only made sense that we would take our relationship to the next level and see each other in person.
Only Griff didn’t want to meet. He asked that I trust him and said it was for the best. But I wanted more - more Griff, in the flesh - so I took a big chance and went looking for him. People have done crazier things for love.
But what I found could change everything.

Critic reviews
"Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt share the narration of this highly charged romance.... Morgan and Arndt both emote as their characters exchange "dirty letters" and sexual taunts that grow steamier and more erotic, including descriptions of BDSM sex play." --AudioFile Magazine
"An anxious, agoraphobic heroine takes center stage in this optimistic contemporary from Keeland and Ward...Griffin and Luca’s letters are endearing and believably intimate.... Readers motivated to see this unlikely heroine succeed will forgive the more fantastical indulgences of this light, escapist romance." --Publishers Weekly

Worth a credit? This is a gem of a love story and yes, so worth a credit.. it’s got romance, tender sentiments, touching words, sex, a couple of endearing secondary characters, a drop of humor.. and even a pet pig. Clean it up a wee bit and it’d make a great Disney Romance movie.. but the excellent dual POV narration by Andi and Jason guaranteed it’d be a glorious 5 star listen.

Oh, my baby Jesus!!!! I am pretty impress about this story! I love Luca how she keep going forward and doing her best to LIVE IT!!! As, Griffin does the same! Now, the title is not what you think, it’s so much more. I don’t think it’s dirty at all to be honest. This is just a sweet and beautifully written. It kicked up a notch when you have the audio narrators: Andi Arndt & Jacob Morgan!!!! Thanks.
Your reader,
Val
P.S. This story gives hope for people struggling with anxiety.

Griffin and Luca's story starts off super cute. Who remembers the time of pen pals? With actual paper, pen/pencil/crayon/marker, envelope, and stamp??? The friendship that built and carried over to high school is adorable. They had crushes on each other, but, like mentioned in the book, being so far away from each other granted them the opportunity to be frank. They lived their lives going through boyfriend, girlfriends, sex, etc. However, an unfortunate accident caused Luca to abruptly stop the friendship with Griffin.
The one thing I love about this story is identifying and educating about a mental health issue. It hits home with me personally. Staying in the present is very difficult. A lot of stories are about individuals who don't have mental issues that go beyond what a "regular" person can handle. I felt like I was in both Luca and Griffin's worlds and understood their thoughts. Keeland and Ward give just a taste of agoraphobia and major anxiety. It seems like they try to not focus on being deep and instead show positive moments. For example, Luca can only go grocery shopping in the middle of the night. Con: No public exposure means no practice with being in places with people. Pro: While she can't really socialize, she does make a friend with the cashier. Plus Griffin liked having a sense of normalcy for once when he shopped with her. For Luca, anything to do with Griffin is a plus.
Griffin is very open-minded about her condition and does his best to distract her and come up with solutions on how to cope. With his experience as a celebrity, he can relate to Luca in a way and he's certainly not intimidated by it. He does get naturally frustrated (to which Luca completely understands), but he doesn't give up on her, even when she hurt him again. He is a wonderful support for her and only guides her to move forward despite her fears.
*Spoiler* Doc felt like he was my psychologist. The words ring true. His passing was pretty abrupt, but I think it makes sense because, like Luca says, life can be gone in an instant and sometimes you won't be able to say goodbye properly. The red cardinal was a nice touch. :-)
I wish I could go on and on about the book, but just read it for yourself. Worth the purchase! :-)
Unique insight~
