About this listen

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING SERIES • Is America ready for its first queen? If you can't get enough of Harry and Meghan and Will and Kate, you'll love this sequel to the New York Times bestseller that imagines America's own royal family—and all the drama and heartbreak that entails. Crazy Rich Asians meets The Crown. Perfect for fans of Red, White, and Royal Blue and The Royal We.

Power is intoxicating. Like first love, it can leave you breathless. Princess Beatrice was born with it. Princess Samantha was born with less. Some, like Nina Gonzalez, are pulled into it. And a few will claw their way in. Ahem, we're looking at you Daphne Deighton.

As America adjusts to the idea of a queen on the throne, Beatrice grapples with everything she lost when she gained the ultimate crown. Samantha is busy living up to her "party princess" persona...and maybe adding a party prince by her side. Nina is trying to avoid the palace—and Prince Jefferson—at all costs. And a dangerous secret threatens to undo all of Daphne's carefully laid "marry Prince Jefferson" plans.

A new reign has begun....

"Inventive, fresh, and deliciously romantic--American Royals is an absolute delight!" —Sarah J. Maas, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Throne of Glass series and Court of Thorns and Roses series

Both the 1st book and 2nd book were awesome! I hope the story would continue! This series would make an awesome TV series or movie. The American "Downton Abbey".

Awesome

I really like how it includes parts of US history that really did happen but with a fictional spin. I also enjoy the new geographic information of how the US could have been.
It’s a fun, romance, drama filled version of how the US could have been today if a handful of men had made different decisions centuries ago.

Another great entry in this series. Brittany does it again narration wise, she nails it with voices, accents and tones. Glad to see Daphne taken down several pegs, among other things.

I'll be waiting for book 3 if there is one.

This is the second book in the series. I enjoyed both, but I liked this one more. I like that the young women found their own strengths.

I Enjoyed it

I liked the direction the character were taken but unless the plan is to make this a trilogy the story feels unfinished. The author has left us at the end of the second act in a three act play. Hopefully she finishes the story at some point to give readers a solid end to the lives of these four women.

Enjoyable but the story feels unfinished

Love the royals in America. Good story line, character development and entertainment! If you love the Crown, this is the American version.

Love the royals…American style!

I've waited over a year for this book and I will say it was worth the wait. We were thrown back into the lives of these characters right where the first book left off. I will say that some of the characters had some really strong character growth while others fell at the waist side. Overall I was happy with this book. I adored the first one because as a history buff it was a nice change to see what could have been with a twist. I think anyone who has a love for the Royal family would enjoy this book! It did have some super crispy parts but at the same time, I am not their target audience. But overall it was a good book. At some points, it did feel rushed but that is so be expected when you have 4 POVs in one book. I can't wait for the next book to see more from this series! Also, I enjoy Brittany's narration, she makes each character sound just different enough without doing hard to believe voices.

A good read with an awesome narration!

I like the storyline and how the chapters are in perspective of the individual women giving different viewpoints throughout. I look forward to seeing how it ends in book 3 which I believe is set to release in spring 2022.
