About this listen

There are thieves, and there are thieves. And I have happened to come across an honest thief. But how can a thief be honest?

One of Dostoyevsky's short masterpieces tells a story rich in psychological insight into human behaviour, emotion and often irrational relationships.

A simplistic but touching tale.

a short work. The story pulls you in quickly and produces an effect. Unfortunately, the narrator takes a little getting used to; he's got a strong implacable accent and he's a little monotone. He can deliver with the dialogue when it's needed though, which saves the piece.

Good Story, Poor Reader

The narrator has a difficult accent and pauses in the wrong places sometimes, making it a little hard to listen to.
