Might and magic, fist and flame, to send evil back from where it came.

Jackson Pryde and Xander Wright delve into the mountain halls of the dvergar, the dwarven people of Norse myth known for their mining and metalwork. Seeking jewels and ore, they make a deadly discovery instead: a cluster of Chrysanthemysts. How did they grow underground? Where are they from? And who sent them?

The masters of the Black Market’s guilds grudgingly unite to stop the fatal flowers at their source. But digging deeper only reveals another conundrum: a legendary gemstone known as the Heart of Oberon. The fae haven’t walked the earth in forever. Why has the Heart resurfaced now?

And why is the gemstone whispering?

I love this series

I might be skipping a book, but I already have this fresh in my mind.

Aaaah, loving the story, the characters (even when they are dumb), and the narrator more and more.

Choice bits: The, hehe, cagey show, elias' interrogation WOO BOY- because damn I'm loving Zachary!!!! and his delivery of "punches faces, kicks babies", everyone answering "YES" to the big reveal. Just really good story, worldbuilding with gods. I would say I can't wait for the next, but the To Kill a King series has a new book and I am in the mood for a little more sex. Not to say these books don't have enough. Some do fine with less and this is definitely one of them.

Iron Resolve

An Iron Fist is the third book in the Arcane Hearts and oh wow, what a fantastic continuation of the series. If you haven’t read the first two books of this series yet, stop now and go back and read them. You won’t understand this book or appreciate it without reading the prior books.

The worldbuilding continues to get more and more intricate and I love it. The scene with Freya and Hecate was just *chef’s kiss*. Plus, we finally get to learn more secrets about Jackson and his abilities. I am so proud of how much Xander has grown – he’s so comfortable and settled in his relationship with Jackson and the love those two have for each other is heartwarming. I adore seeing how close and romantic they are with each other, and the way the protect and care for each other is so sweet. The finally scene in the book was fantastic and unexpected. I love the action and thrill, and can’t wait to learn more about the mystery of the Chrysanthemysts.

The audiobook was narrated by Zachary Johnson who narrated the first two books of the series as well. Zachary does a great job with keeping all the voices consistent and he has a plethora of accents and different voices he uses to make all the characters distinct. I’m very impressed with his vocal flexibility. The audiobook production was also well done.

Magic, Sex, and Adventure!

Noor does an excellent job of creating stories rich in action, dialogue, and character. The worldbuilding - neither too much nor too little - shines through the varied settings of this hidden magic world. Not only are the main characters presented with faceted dimensions but the secondary characters have lives and development of their own. The plot is rounded with multiple tracks and sturdy pacing. And the sex scenes are hot, playful, and distinct. Johnson for his part gives an excellent performance with his cinematic pacing and attention towards dramatic dialogue. Looking forward to what comes next in this series and from this author and reader!

Outstanding

I love reading the books before listening to the audio version. Zachary does an amazing job with this series. Nazri has a few difficult entity names I could never pronounce in a million years but Zachary does it effortlessly. Just amazing. Can’t wait to listen to the next one. This series is just awesome

Yes!

Every one of Nazri's books just draws me in and I can't put them down...or hit pause. This one is no exception.

I really like Jackson's growth through out and that he has such an inert curiosity while still acknowledging his faults. I also like that Xander has just as much growth too adjusting to life as it is now.

Amazing Story & Narration🎧 Magically Brilliant!

Nazri Noor continues to wow me with another brilliant installment in his “Arcane Hearts” series, I highly recommend starting the series from the beginning, not only are the first two books just as amazing as this one but you will get the most of the phenomenal world building and character growth which continues as the series goes on. This story drew me in right from the start, grabbing my attention and captivating it straight to the end. Jackson Pryde and Xander Wright make a great team working together, Xander is out of his family’s home living with Jackson, which is no hardship though he is still adjusting to his new economic status, something Jackson is already used to. They are on to another adventure, seeking jewels and ore underground in the dvergar mines. But what they find growing done in the minds is the last thing they expected to see there, those dreaded and deadly Chrysanthemysts. They quickly go for help finding SEER and notify others of their finding, including the masters of the Black Market guild. The mystery behind the Chrysanthemysts continues and they investigate how it got down in the mines and who is behind them and why. The finding of Heart of Oberon adds to that mystery. This book brings in some more interesting characters and allies to work with, I was a huge fan of Ingrid and her strength and magical powers, a great person to have on your side while fighting evil while trying to rescue fellow guild workers. Noor presents another action packed and brilliantly plotted urban fantasy paranormal romance, there is never a dull moment in this book, writing is exceptional, he finds the perfect balance of drama, humor via snark and witty dialogue, just a touch of angst, some mystery, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and some hot Xander and Jackson sexy times. I was ecstatic when Jackson learned what he did and the direction things are going, it was also great to see more of Lore, I am looking forward to seeing more of him and his abilities too. Nazri Noor, thank you for another amazing story!

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Zachary Johnson is just brilliant at what he does, his talent knows no bounds, a talent that is reflected in his outstanding performance as continues to bring these characters and their story to life. He has a complete understanding of the characters he portrays, gives each a voice that fits the character’s persona and is believable in every role he plays. His character voices are consistent and he sets the perfect tone for the story, handles the witty dialogue with ease and lands the snarky humor effortlessly, never missing a beat. Zachary Johnson is versatile voice artist and an entertaining storyteller. Thank you for another fantastic listen.
