About this listen

During a trip to England, Sophie Broadmoor falls head over heels for Wesley Hedrick, a wealthy widower who promises her the world. But Sophie soon learns that Wesley's promises are nothing but words and finds herself in a very compromising situation.

Why does it have to be Paul Medford, the stringent young minister who works with her father, who shows up during her worst moment? Paul is full of promises, too, and it's clear that he has feelings for Sophie. But after all she's been through, can she trust him?

This was a good listen but...

I enoyed the storyline very much and thought it was good reminder of God's love and forgiveness. I find my own attitude often mirrors that of the main character Sophie.

My only complaint was that this book seems to have been pieced together incorrectly. Though it sounds seamless, there is an obvious flaw in this recording. The book is in chronological order and dates are interjected to help the reader/listener know the time line. However, in this recording, the book jumps from approx February to mid-summer and then back to March. Thankfully, if one has listened up to that point you can kind of piece it together in your head. I just think you shouldn't have to when you're paying for a product. There is another version of this book available (longer) which is actually what I meant to click on when I purchased this book. Maybe that version doesn't have the same error.

Oh well, still a good story. :-)
