About this listen

In Andromeda's War, Dietz' heroine will face her ultimate test - as a battle-scarred legionnaire and as an innocent young woman who once lost everything... Now a platoon leader, Legionnaire Andromeda McKee seems to have successfully left behind her true identity of Lady Catherine "Cat" Carletto, one of the last two surviving members of the Carletto family targeted for death by Empress Ophelia. After failing at her one shot at vengeance, Andromeda had been questioning her own resolve. But now her uncle has been killed in a government raid back on Earth, leaving her as the last Carletto standing - and the family's only chance for justice... A chance that comes when the empress' ship crashes on a hostile planet and Andromeda is assigned to head up the rescue mission. As a legionnaire, Andromeda McKee has countless kills under her belt. But when faced with her greatest enemy, it will be Cat Carletto who has to pull the trigger on the one who really matters...

"Returning to his Legion of the Damned universe, Dietz illustrates why he's a master of the genre" (RT Book Reviews)

I hesitate to say that this is a fitting end to the LotD series. Only because the last time I said that, William C. Dietz came out with this prequel trilogy. I enjoyed this book completely and thought that it was a fitting ending to the beginning of the LotD series. It really puts the world into perspective and lays to rest some questions about how the world came into being at the beginning of Legion of the Damned. If this is the last book in the series, Dietz did a fantastic job. He wraps up all the loose ends and explains how the Empire started it's transformation. Andromeda's War is a great read and I would suggest it to anyone that has any interest in the LotD series.

Isabelle Gordon does a superb job and really brings this story to life. Her vocal thespianism is fantastic and really brought out the fantastic picture that Dietz created with his writing. This was a five star performance of a five star book.

Does it end here?

I am a big fan of the Legion of the Damned. These books were a nice farewell to the series.

Good ending to this trilogy.

I enjoyed the 3 books. I had not realized it was part of a bigger series but that was ok as this us pretty well a stand alone.
Reader did a good job as well.

What a great story, as we follow Cat Carletta to her conclusive finale. Great action, and world's brought to life by the narrator. If you enjoyed the first two, you won't be disappointed

Another Legion of the Damned finest SciFi finished

As this is the umpteenth "Legion of the Damned" book, you will either like the series or not. If you have not read the series and like military sci-fi it is a must read, but don't start here. Go back, read the first two. If you have read the series, this continues the Cat/Andromeda arc well. She is growing in complexity and depth. As is the case with many of these Legion books, the destination is not that important -- it is all about the journey. There is a little more thinking and a little less fighting. It feels like almost an interlude, but it was quite enjoyable,

A Slightly Different Direction in Legion Series

All three books in Andromeda series were excellent. All were full of action with a well written storyline. Story was very easy to listen to so I wish the books were a bit longer! Highly recommend if you like military storylines.

What a great series

The ending of this book just didn't do it for me. it reminded me of a 1980s action movie you picked up at Blockbuster

Ending was anticlimactic

If you could sum up Andromeda's War in three words, what would they be?

Light Sci-Fi Reading

What does Isabelle Gordon bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She read the previous novels, so Andromeda's voice wouldn't be the same without her.

A great end to the series

It was good but it felt a little drawn out at times. I May give it another go in the near future.

Over all good

This series was my first set of books written by Dietz. I'll likely look up more from this author. Good narration.

I enjoyed the series.
