About this listen

This may be the single most moving audiobook you will listen to this year - or in your lifetime.

Henry and Julean couldn't be happier. With a new baby, a new home and Henry's new job, everything is turning out perfectly for the young couple. Or is it? No matter what he does, Henry can't seem to shake the memory of Jenny from his mind or the love he still feels for her from his heart. Little does he know, his wife is all-too-aware of Henry's hidden thoughts and feelings for his first love.

Meanwhile, Father Engelmann, who has returned from seminary school and is creating a sensation as the new parish priest with his powerful life lessons, seems to be caught in the middle when both Henry and Julean confess to him about Jenny. What can be done? And will Jenny finally give in to James' persistent proposals realizing that once married, the chance that she will ever reunite with Henry will be gone forever?

Spanning two decades, Angel of Thanksgiving takes the listener on an incredible journey of faith, hope, and love. As we see Henry and Jenny's lives unfolding separately and so far apart, will destiny bring them together again? Timeless biblical themes as surrendering to God's will, forgiveness, and unconditional love are beautifully portrayed through unforgettable, real-life characters in this compelling, hard-to-put-down novel.

Angel of Thanksgiving will surely move listeners to tears and laughter; inspire, touch, and delight them as deeply as the first two best-selling books in The Angelic Letters series, Pewter Angels and Another Angel of Love - if not more! Make a huge space in your heart before you begin to listen to Angel of Thanksgiving, as it will quickly fill with love's beauty and ever enduring wonder.

A bit long in spots.

Loved the story, struggled through the narration. Audio would benefit from a smoother narrator.

I was praying for it to END

What would have made Angel of Thanksgiving better?

Less Preaching (that is all the 1st 30 minutes was). Another Narrator.

Would you ever listen to anything by Henry K. Ripplinger again?

NEVER

What didn’t you like about David Marvin Van Der Molen’s performance?

It was like listening to a computer generated - and very annoying - voice.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Anger that I wasted my credit on this. Disappointment that I relied on the ratings.

Any additional comments?

I listened to the first 30 minutes - horrible. If I wanted to go to church, I would. What a waste of time and money. I can't wait to delete them from my phone to free up space for something decent.
