Stay away from the trees!

In Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Kira Brine hires a group of friends to help restore her private cottage. The fun little endeavor quickly turns tense as they hear strange noises in the woods. Branches snap and leaves rustle in the distance. Animals seem uncharacteristically frightened and then mysteriously disappear as the hours go on.

The tension escalates into panic with the revelation that something is stalking the group. Something large. Something unnatural. Its claws can slice through bone with ease. Its web will ensnare anything at the slightest touch. Its venom can immobilize a human within seconds. It is a corruption of nature; a genetically spliced nightmare; an arachnoid. Now, it is loose, and it needs to feed.

Along came a spider…..

I enjoyed it. Interesting cast of characters in an inventive location for a monster to show up. The vibe of the story was Tremors meets Arachnophobia.

Enjoyable

It’s was like listening to a B rate horror movie. It was enjoyable and does keep you interested but a few characters I was happy what happened to them. 🕷

You ever seen ice spiders?

Story and characters are alright but if you ever seen the movie Ice Spiders you can get the gist of the plot. but overall good story. main problem is the narrator. there wasn't any pause when switching characters or for dramatic affect which with audiobooks is what I really look for. know when to stop and reorient the reader to a new perspective is very important. besides that it's your good for a long drive book

Stay out the woods

If you freak out when You see a spider, then you probably do not want to read this book.

Audio was not good acting.

If Jordan Gibbs is goin to make this a career he may want to take some acting courses. His voice was the worst part of this book.

Awesome Arachnoid Creature Feature

I’m a fan of creature features in general, and especially ones with spiders. This was exactly what I was hoping for in a fun summer read.

B horror movie gold

Turn off your brain and enjoy show. I preferred Thresher, but not a bad run.

Awesome audiobook!

Wow ! I went into this just thinking it'd be pretty good . It went above my expectations! It was intense , right up until the very end !
I was sad when it was over . Now I have to check out other books by this author !
Also I found the narrator perfect !

That’s a Big Spider

I am a big fan of Michael Cole so listening to Arachnoid was a given. I really liked the story. It had some pacing issues towards the beginning but once it started going it was a roller coaster ride. This book really felt like Arachnophobia mixed with Tremors. I enjoyed the characters in this book every-time I thought I had a character figured out they surprised me. Now for the monster of the story the Arachnoid. I liked how vicious it could get as well as how it would use its traps to catch prey. For the narrator Jordan Gibbs I thought he did an amazing job and gave each character their own voice as well as show off their personalities. All in all I would recommend Arachnoid to anyone who like a good creature feature book.
