About this listen

The severed head marked by a distinctive tattoo on its cheek should have been a Guild case, but dark instincts honed over hundreds of years of life compel the vampire Dmitri to take control. There is something twisted about this death, something that whispers of centuries long past... but Dmitri's need to discover the truth is nothing to the vicious strength of his response to the hunter assigned to decipher the tattoo.

Savaged in a brutal attack that almost killed her, Honor is nowhere near ready to come face to face with the seductive vampire who is an archangel's right hand, and who wears his cruelty as boldly as his lethal sensuality... the same vampire who has been her secret obsession since the day she was old enough to understand the inexplicable, violent emotions he aroused in her.

As desire turns into a dangerous compulsion that might destroy them both, it becomes clear the past will not stay buried. Something is hunting - and it will not stop until it brings a blood-soaked nightmare to life once more.

Good twist on Love Strory

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I have recommended this book to a number of people, It's really good on detailing the characters and making you interested.

What did you like best about this story?

I found this book to be a surprising good love story, great build up and you really want these characters to get together.

What does Justine Eyre bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

All it took was one listen and I knew I was going to need to hear the emotions of these characters plus Justine does a very good job as Demitri - this is my favorite so far of the series.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I really liked how Demitri's character deals with Honor when he believes he is being deceived.

Any additional comments?

This book really has a strong love story and shows us more on how and why Rafael and Demitri are so close and how their bond was made. Your going to love how Demitri pushes the envelope with Honor but knows when he has gone to far.

I fell in love with Demetri

I almost stopped reading this series. I was a huge fan of the Psy Changeling series. so I wanted to love the Guild Hunter series. after a few of the firs book I found Elaina whiney and was beginning to get board with her and the very nasal reading from the Narrator. this was going to be the last book. Demetris' stirt made me want to know more about.. Sorrow, and a host of other stories. I only wish the same narrator for the Psy Changeling series, Angela Dawe was the same for this series... demetris ' story ...great..the narrator not so good

A Good Guild Hunter Novel

I really liked this novel but I will admit to having a little mixed feelings during the listening. It involved some scenes that were disturbing to listen to (scenes including all kinds of abuse: physical, sexual and emotional) so be warned. These scenes were backstory that was needed but still a little hard to listen to at times. I loved the varying plot lines that were integrated in to the story. I liked the way Singh brought Honor and Dmitri together but I sort of wish the Ingred/Honor link wasn't part of it. It seemed like Dmitri had already come to love Honor on his own without that link though so I was happy with their HEA.

Oh my goodness!

If you could sum up Archangel's Blade in three words, what would they be?

Best in series!

What did you like best about this story?

The tragedy of Dimitri and Honors past. How beautifully they come together. The ending was soooo satisfying.

What about Justine Eyre’s performance did you like?

Her variation in characters. When Dimitri "spoke", it didn't seem like it was a female doing a man's voice; it was just Dimitri.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried and I listened to the entire book in one day.

Any additional comments?

I liked the first 3 books in the series, but Dimitri and Honor's love seems much more genuine. Their love story was more well developed in one book than Rafael and Elaina's was throughout three books.

BEST BOOK IN SERIES! Loved it!

I've read every book in series, even the novella's and let me tell you...I loved this book. Amazing love story. Truth be told I was getting tired of the series but since I had alreaady bought this book when I bought the others in the series I wasn't going to waste it. Thank goodness I did. I was so cought up in Honor and Dmitri's love story that I spent over an hour walking through Target with my ear buds on and nothing in my basket. Lol

Answers About Dmitri

I love this book. The rescued hunter mentioned in the previous book is a large part of this one. Dmitri and Raphael's past is made clear. Sorrow becomes a relevant character and may be she will have her own book in the future.
Again what we start out thinking of as a weak character turns out to be all the stronger for her momentary break. Dmitri has a depth that I did not foresee and I am itching to buy the next book.

Best yet!

I really love these books! It’s the perfect amount of smut! With still a great story and magical world to experience. I wasn’t sure if I was ready for a break from Rafael and Elaina but once this story picked up I was totally in love! Fast reads/books to listen too. Which o find really nice.

Some things just didn't add up

As far as I know this is the same narrator as the last few but character voices were off, and inconsistent in this novel alone at times. Sex and violence himself sounded like an old man, some of the 7 sounded more immature than their centuries of existence should convey. The main couple pairing up and developing trust wasn't well executed. I feel like a ton of emotional connection building was cut by the editor or something. Dmitri didn't evolve naturally, the voice and behaviour were all off. I wish the romance between this couple had been written better because their's should be the deepest or strongest.

Loved it

I was excited for Dimitri's story and I was not disappointed. His and Honor's story was a slow burn romance that had me captivated until the end. It was action packed, and I loved that we get to learn more of Dimitri's past. I loved the appearance of the Seven and that we got to see quite a bit more of Sorrow in this book. This was another excellent addition to this series and I loved it.
The audiobook version was narrated by Justine Eyre and she gave another good performance. I enjoyed listening to her narrate this novel.
