About this listen

Betrayed by the one she most trusts, Gwendolyn must now find a way to defeat the Fae King, alone… To do that she must remember what she has forgotten. But time is running out, and the odds are rising against her and even The Fates appear to favor a cruel king, whose reign began with the end of all she holds dear. Arise the Queen is the exciting conclusion of the Goldenchild Prophecy.

Wonderful Story

I loved everything about this series. Crosby weaves an intricate tale of family, love, honor and duty into a wonderful, and entertaining tale. I highly recommend! It won't disappoint.

Outstanding!

I loved and respected Gwendolyn from the beginning. She was a true queen born and breed to lead.

Wonderful Narrator

I loved this series and couldn’t stop listening until the satisfying end. I’d love to see this world brought to like in film - utterly cinematic!

Both long winded and rushed, a hodge podge of half-baked ideas

The writing for this one felt more childish than the others. Maybe that's not the right word but it felt like I was inside a 13year Olds brain as she tries to navigate an Alice in wonderland-esqueci experience for 10+ chapters. It was too much! It got boring, and made me get extremely annoyed by Gwendolyn and her child-like inner monologue. It was so slow and drawn out, then you get to the end and everything is super rushed. It wasn't satisfying in the least and felt like significantly lower quality than the other books. I honestly wish I'd just read the last chapter because it was enough to get everything that happened in the entire book without having wasted 6hours of my life on it. The merging of druids and king Arthur legends and Greek myths and elves and humans in Brittania, it was just too much and none of it properly developed so they felt half baked. Don't recommend.
