Ascendance of a Bookworm is one of my favorite pieces of media. I’ve watched the several times and have already purchased the entire book series both digitally and physically. I’m starting off like this to say that I know I’m obviously biased, but holy shit this audio book is amazing.
Reba Buhr does an amazing job narrating, truly selling every single line she says. The story is very engaging, pulling you in and keeping you interested. The world building is top tier, and the foreshadowing for things that happen volumes and volumes down the line is some seriously genius shit when you take into account just how long this series is.

I hope that people who are experiencing this story of the first time buckle in and enjoy the ride.

Only complaint is how long these are taking to come out. I can’t wait to continue to support and enjoy this story again in another form

Love love love

I'll start with the bad since there is almost none:
1. These are so good, story and acting both. However, so far we are only seeing a release of approximately two volumes per year, so be prepared to wait a LOT to see what happens next. I would definitely be willing to pay money to whomever necessary to increase the publishing rate from two to 6 per year, but would be happy to compromise at 4 :p

The rest is fantastic. The story itself is extremely immersive. The world building and character writing is all cohesive and any one facet plays into the others. Much like Spice & Wolf in that way, but due to the nature of the story taking place in one area so far, it gets more time to be fully fleshed out.

The narration and voice acting is superb, of course, as we still have the english voice actress for Myne. She differentiates character voices well and pulls off a warm tone that gives the while experience a cozy story time feel, albeit a high end one. The only real improvement I could imagine would be getting the voice actor for Ferdinand to reprise his role and perhaps perform several of the other Male characters who will he introduced too. This isn't really necessary because Buhr is doing such a good job, but it would be a nice cherry on top :)

oh! also, there is a short story at the end about the guild master which is great and confirmed my suspicion about him. look forward to it

Thanks for the great work, everyone!

It's all here

Myne is an awesome unreliable narrator. the ups and downs of emotion are great.

do wish these were released a little quicker. I'm constantly checking for more. but maybe the narrator is a busy person.

Myne is stand out!

For good or ill this book is very similar to the last book and is the last real setup book where nothing really happens. Narration is amazing as always and can't wait for Part 2!

More of the same

This is a low pressure cute story with excellent character development and progression of a storyline.

This series is so good it's almost criminal how long each book takes to come out! Reba is the PERFECT VA, and the story is so well told it puts other series to shame, almost nothing can hold my attention for 8 straight hours, but AOABW can. Please work hard and get the next one to us! I can't hold the suspense!

So good it hurts
