About this listen

I've lost my mind and my mate once.... Can I risk it again?

Three years ago, I tried to do the impossible, defying my leaders and facing off with a dark mage in the hope of saving Tam and his fellow dragons. It ended with me barely alive, and it took me a year to recover. There was a spark between Tam and I, the promise of a mating bond, but that was ripped from us along with the rest of the tragedy.

But now Tam's brother is dead, and his nephew missing.

I can't do it again, not when I've seen the true depths of dark power. But when Tam comes to me, I know I'm his only hope. He has no right to ask me, but even after all these years, he still owns a piece of my heart. I can't say no.

But now that I've been burned, I know just how badly this can go. And if I fail, I won't just lose my mate. This mage has to be defeated...or the whole world may suffer.

Great !

This was a good second chance romance. Vance and Tam were interesting characters, I feel more could have been said in maybe a prologue but either way it was a good story. Vance had lost his memory of Tam. But Tam never forgot about him even if he could never see him again. But when Tam's nephew is taken he needs Vance to help him. It opens a whole can of worms to say. Good read , very exciting and interesting.

I hated interruptions!

I just hated whenever someone or something interrupted my listening of this book! This book had everything! Magic, dragons and lost love. So much action and adventure. I loved every second. I need the next book like I need my next breath.

Was Good...

A little bit more of a back story needed at the beginning, to help you along but other wise it was a good story.
Zachary Zaba did a great job

Fascinating new series!

Ashes of Memory is Book 1 in the Dragon Magic series. This is a fascinating book with paranormal, fantasy, mystery, suspense, and magic. Tam, a dragon shifter, is on the search for his nephew after he was taken after his brother was killed. Vance goes with him to help and gets lost in his own mind. With Tam's help he is able to escape and is better for it. This book is action packed and takes you on a bit of a rollercoaster ride. It's touch and go there for a while. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest of the series.
Narrator Zachary Zaba does a wonderful job but he does talk a little too fast when not in conversation.

Good listen.

This is a good listen and an interesting story. Now it the beginning of Tam and Vance's story I was a little bit lost just because I feel like there should have been more. However I still like this second chance story and was so happy for these two. Zachary Zaba does a great job with this narration.

Great story and narration!!

This is the story of Tam and Vance. Vance had lost his memories of Tam. Tam’s brother and sister in law had been murdered. Tam needs Vance to help him find his nephew Baz who has been kidnapped. I was little confused at the beginning of the story, I felt there was many new terms for me to learn. But I easily got into the story and really enjoyed it. It was a good story; I’m looking forward to reading more of Tam and Vance in the next installment. The narration was great!!

Magical

Vance and Tam have history. Vance does not remember because in order to save him, parts of his mind were shut down. Tam knew he should figure out how to track his stolen nephew without Vance, but it was time sensitive. The author does a great job of making the reader believe in his world. Th narration is spot on.

Mixed Feelings

So I have some mixed feelings on this one. On the one hand I was really intrigued with the overall story line and the take on the paranormal world. That being said the whole romance of it and the characters I had a hard time connecting to because while Zaba has a really soothing and mellow voice I didn't get much emotion from it, Maybe because of the dragons and they are often presented that way I'm not sure but it was hard for me to stay focused on it.
