About this listen

A club owner with a monstrous secret, an assassin with his name on a contract, a burning chemistry they can't deny.

The Labyrinth is a place of deals and desire, where the wealthy and dangerous play. Asterion's word is law, and he rules the club and fighting arena with an iron fist. As a member of the Court of Styx, no one in Greece is willing to risk crossing him . . . well, almost no one.

Ariadne is an assassin, with no job too hard or too dirty. She'll do anything to get revenge on her powerful a-hole boss who murdered her sister and is keeping her in debt to him. When she receives the contract of her life, everything she's ever wanted is in reach.

She only has to kill Asterion, the most dangerously sexy man she's ever met, and piss off Hades in the process. No problem.

Contains mature themes.

Loved this!

This version of Ariadne and the Minotaur was so entertaining from beginning to end. I loved the old magic mixed with the current real world cityscape.
I’ve had this in my library since it first came out and I’m kicking myself that it just took me till now to listen

Another great Alessa audiobook

Alessa’s books are always my go-to favorites, so having them in audiobook form is so great! The narration is wonderful, and I love the use of Greek mythology is a modern day setting.

Will be a re-listen!

I have already been a big fan of Alessa Thorn and had read this story before. So happy to have the audiobook available now and the narration was everything I could hope for and more! If you enjoy fantasy, with banter and epic check out this book. Looking forward to listening to the rest of the series as they are released.

My favorite kind of heroine ❤️

Alessa Thorn! My girl! You are my new 2023 favorite author! I have been so depressed lately with the state of books that are coming out portraying women so negatively that this book completely blindsided me. I typically don’t like my FMC to be “human” as I like to get lost in fantasy. But I’m also super picky on how a FMC should act if the author is trying to portray them in a certain way. Our main gal is not only human but she is a complete badass. She’s strong but flawed, she’s experienced and know what she wants but is sometimes clueless. She asks questions that lead to answers! And! And! SHES NOT ANGRY! This is the trifecta of what makes me giddy. I can actually get lost in the story without the FMCS actions ruining the book or taking me away from the story. I absolutely loved it.

But what I love the most about Alessa’s work is she writes complete stories. She takes her TIME writing her books to make sure you as the reader get the full picture. Sooo many authors are writing for their next dollar, so they throw in story fillers to squeeze as much as they can out of a book. Alessa Thorn doesn’t do that!

Now I’ll be back to patiently waiting for Book 2 of this series. I have been waiting for a year for this to come out on audible. I have Anubis bookmarked on Amazon as that’s the one I’ve been dying for! So please hurry up and get these books recorded pretty please <3

Wasn't too sure but I did end up liking it

I decided to give this one a shot because I had listened to the rest of the say series and I really enjoyed those. I signed and sent very interesting take on the old Greek myths. The way we recommend the modern society is awesome and there were some very humorous moments to. So despite my skepticism after having listened to the preview I think anyone who enjoys the Greek myth would probably enjoy this. I thought it was kind of fun trying to connect the characters to their modern counterparts. I actually felt for the Minotaur. I sort of wish there was more to the ending to see how Asterion and Ariadne get along. It was interesting enough to make me consider spending more credits on the rest of the novels. I thought the concept of Medusa using modern media to be able to still connect with people was awesome. Although there were some things that I was slightly confused about. I think I finally figured it out by the end of the book so I would ask anybody to be patient and at least read the whole of the first book.

Enjoyable listen

My first book by the author and it was an enjoyable listen. The book was chosen for an online book club that I’m a member of. Hope to eventually read/listen to the rest of the series.

Love this story, but…

The story, character and world building are all fantastic. And the narrator is great. My only gripe is that I really miss the dual narration. Ada Sinclair is very good, but the story loses something without the male voice. Maybe I’m spoiled by Wrath of the Fae, but I loved the added depth from two narrators.
