About this listen

Nothing matters to the walking dead but finding live flesh to chew on, and nothing matters to Ginny Mills except getting back to her family. Nothing matters to Lee Quartine but keeping his small band of survivors - including Ginny - alive. Upstate New York is overrun, other survivors are more of a danger than a help, and the rumors have begun. There's a place where organization and government still exists, a place where a cure for the zombie virus is underway.

The problem is, that place is Atlanta, and there's a hell of a lot of road to cover to get there. Hopefully, Ginny's family is safe. With a little luck, Lee can get them all south without anyone else dying.

But in the middle of a winter wasteland full of chewing, shuffling undead, hope - and luck - are in short supply...

It's gonna be a long trip.

This can't be the end!

Great story but this can't be how it ends. Get started on book 5. Too much is left of the story for it to stop.

Jenny - another name for a female donkey

See also a$$. As in stubborn as this female MC, who I found grating, obtuse and full of silly judgments and self-absorbed internal ramblings. Her opinions of the world around her are tedious and cliche with very limited growth over four whole books. I always find it laughable when lib- leaning characters hold to such stereotypical mindsets of certain “ people, places, and things”. It got old quick and I found myself rolling my eyes instead of caring about the characters individual stories. Lee was likable enough though I’ve never heard of an army guy less confident(especially the way this narrator portrays him - the “uh’s” and “um’s abound). I appreciated his friendship with JuJu…some of the other minor characters. The story had small but real moments of humor, insight and touching narrative but unfortunately these are lost in stupid plot choices (like going to NY at all), clunky introductions to “new” characters you don’t hear from in almost entire books and copious amounts of back and forth between internal and actual dialogue that grossly slowed down the delivery. I struggled to finish these and likely will not read this author again.

Atl bound

I kinda like the story but the narrator’s voice for any male is so awful. It’s very distracting and makes me roll my eyes and cringe. It’s like they are from the backwoods and it’s not flattering. I hate it. Other than that the story is decent

Good story

Great series. There are slow parts but I think the slow parts builds the characters. I enjoyed the series.
