Good, but short.

Great expanse story as always. It's a "novella" so it's going to be short. However, the story certainly needed more to make the short time just a bit more interesting. The massive cliffhanger at the end also disappointed me. Just as it started to REALLY pick up, BOOM. It's over. I will impatiently wait for my next journey through the excellent expanse universe. Worth your time, and money! Just, don't expect a detailed or as complete a narrative as one might be accustomed to in the normal series.

It barely quenched my thirst

It was another great novella in The Expanse series. They really whet the appetite for more and make it difficult to wait for the next book. I wondered what happened to Erik after Babylons Ashes, and never made the connection between the rumors of corruption in the last two full length books of Auberons government. I don't know what I am going to do with myself after the series is finished!

WTF‽ I Love ALL 8 Novels (so far) & 2 other Novellas

As a gum-snapping,crassly erudite & toothless public figure, it❜s tough for someone like me to admit a book - especially by a Geminid author he loves with a-band-on — has his mind stumped completely by what is either a well written side story, a prequel to a character or more who aren’t related to Novels 1-8 or is some glimpse, as I suspect most, of a part of the sadly 9th and final one of the series.

Imagine that.

I love this series and the narrator both work well together ❤. the Expanse series and the Novella are just amazing to me, but when listening to a book u have to have the best narrative and narrators

Praise for Auberon

I've listened to this book five times and I love it! It is deep, intellectual, complex...even poetic. It is some of the best sci-fi I've ever heard. It would be an excellent motion picture!

Deleted scenes from Persepolis rising

This is a great story. It reads like chapters excised from Persepolis rising. It helps give scope to just how incredible the Laconian incident was in the universe of the expanse.

Loved it. Every book, every short story. I'll be bereft when the series is done!

Brilliant bit of writing. Just brilliant.

I generally prefer long form novels, but there's something to be said for a perfectly crafted novella that is as finely shaved as a diamond. The authors created a beautiful morality play about pure intent and duty meeting up with reality and love. Not a word is wasted, and not a word is missing.

short

I'm guessing the authors don't know how to finish the series. this novella was short, easy, and skin deep. barely relevant to the main story.
felt like listening to someone distract themselves from a story with a story.

Brilliant

What can I say? Another exceptional story from “The Expanse” universe.
Don’t listen to detractors - even if it’s a darker story it’s nevertheless a gem.
