About this listen

Their union could save a species. First, they'll have to save themselves.

The Auxem are desperate. A virus has killed all their women and is beginning to affect the males' fertility. Their only chance for survival is mating with human women.

Jayne Lynch is in charge of supervising the small group of volunteers who will be test subjects for a breeding program with the aliens. She's supposed to be impartial, but then she meets Arnon, the dark-haired, dark-eyed, muscular crown prince. The chemistry between them is too strong to ignore.

Arnon is equally drawn to the curvy, blonde-haired Earthling. His father, the king, doesn't approve, but Arnon thinks Jayne is perfect - until he learns that she hasn't been entirely honest with him.

The catch is that Arnon is hiding a painful secret of his own. Can he and his mate learn to trust each other in time to save their marriage and the breeding program? Or is their happy ending doomed...along with everyone on Auxem?

Auxem is Book 13 in the TerraMates series and a stand-alone, full-length science fiction romance. There are no cliffhangers, and a happy ending is guaranteed!

What made the experience of listening to Auxem the most enjoyable?

It is great to hear the alternating voices of the two main characters.. It really adds depth to the characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Auxem?

There are a lot of moments when the story is very emotional and the interactions of the characters becomes so interesting. These are the moments that keep you reading.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favourite scene was the ending. I hope that there is another book that continues the story of all the alien royalty Brothers.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Aliens seek mail order brides from Earth to help them save their race and possibly find love!

Any additional comments?

A great addition to the alien sci-fi romance series by Lisa lace.

a sweet and sexy one

I all the books should be like this with lots of super hot story and great sex scenes they dont need to be a lot, but it was masterful how well it was balanced.

the plot was super interesting I didn't wanted it to end, so cool, if you like angels or anything alike you should read/hear this one, it will not dissapoint you.

the romance was sweet and had problems like any relantionship, the characters were so complex in their interactions on this one, they felt so alive, definitely a perfect book for your romance shelf.

It starts off fast and dreamy with a lot of sexual

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

There were several discrepancies and unanswered questions that really bothered me. I think they need to be cleared up better.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Logan McAllister and Faith Clark ?

I usually love audiobooks that have both a male and female narrator but I almost wish this one was just Logan. He nailed both characters. I enjoyed both narrator's but I was not a fan of Faith's "male" voice for Arnon, it just didn't feel right for him. Faith did great with Jane, don't get me wrong.

Any additional comments?

I had a very hard time processing how to rate this book. I loved it but at the same time there were several discrepancies and unanswered questions that really bothered me. It starts off fast and dreamy with a lot of sexual tension. There are a ton of new characters, some new back story information, and a bunch of future potential for additional stories for the other characters!

Jayne Lynch and Arnon are great characters. They have spark from the very first moment. They both value family, are intelligent, hard workers and put others before themselves. Their story may well be my favorite TerraMates love story so far.

My only issue with the story is that there are a lot of contradictions, a few discrepancies that the author attempts to clear up but after you finish you realize they never really were and a few side story lines that you are left hanging on.

Like I said before, this was a great love story so that earns stars but I really hope that Lisa finishes some of the side stories!!!

Another winner!!

Birdmen are often the tortured male characters, and these are no different. Loved the idea of angels. Nice spin off series. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A+ Loved Auxem !!!

Terra Mates RULES!!! The idea for 2nd generation Terra Mates brides is a fantastic one. Jayne is the daughter of Sophie and Khellan. Sophie, the founder of TerraMates, who married an alien of her own in the book Origins is sought out by the President and the Auxem King to screen and obtain brides for the fast becoming extinct Auxem race. Arnon is the oldest son of the Auxem King who meets Jayne under unusual circumstances and a  fast growing attraction between the two begins. Jayne volunteers to be one of the first group of brides to bond with an Auxem male and travel to their world to help produce the next generation of Auxem children, female children who will help replenish their race. She is also going to be a representative of the Terra Mates Agency, making sure that the brides are taken care of and monitoring their emotional well being to send results back to Earth. Secrets, sickness and political obstacles threaten to tear apart the couple and test the strength of their love. I Loved this story and am looking forward to seeing what Ms. Lace has in store for us next.

much better

Almost gave up on this series a couple books ago because of a string of badly written fillers, but I am glad I didn't. Series has improved back to the quality of the first several books which I am happy about. This author has great ideas for stories, sometimes she just has a few too many plot holes, loose threads, and bad continuity. I am so glad these past 2 or so have turned out to be the quality I expect when I read or listen to her books. Always has great narration, that's never been a problem.

First of the second generation!

This story is the first in the TerrMates spin-off Auxem series. It's about Jayne, the daughter of Sophie and Kellan from Origins. She is mated to Arnon, crown prince of Auxem. The population of Auxem are in danger of going extinct because they have no females. A disease killed off their female population and since the men have only been able to produce male offspring. Their scientist have narrowed the cause to a specific gene that the female carries, so they need females that don't have the gene in order to have female offspring. Arnon, his four brothers, their father the king and many other men of the Auxem race come to Earth in hopes of creating an alliance with Earth, a sort of breeding program. Arnon falls hard for Jayne and the two decide to marry and bond, the bond being a lifetime commitment that can not be reversed. After getting together, Jayne discovers she has the gene that they are trying to avoid. Believing the lab techs made a mistake she asks them to retest her. Before she can get the new test, Arnon discovers she's gene positive and accuses her of hiding it from him because she was after his money. Jayne discover she's pregnant and when she tells him he suggest giving the baby to a 'more worthy' female, cause he's stupid that way. Then, to top it off, he says he's going to stay married and bonded to her, but they can't ever be together again and he's going to find other women to have his babies. Jayne decided she isn't giving up her baby or sticking around while her husband beds other women, so she enlists his brother Anders to take her back to Earth. Now Arnon has to try to stop her before it's too late.

The story was well written and interesting. I enjoyed it. I think the female narrators attempt at the male voices was a bit off putting and the male narrators speech for the characters was a bit staccato, but overall they did a good job. I'm looking forward to whatever comes next.
