About this listen

The nation as we know it is a thing of the past. With the male species on the verge of extinction, a society called the End Men is formed to save the world. Folsom Donahue is one of 12 men whose sole purpose is to repopulate the Regions. The endless days spent having sex with strangers leaves Folsom with an emptiness no amount of women, money, or status can fill.

Until Gwen.

Gwen has wanted a child for as long as she can remember, but when she finally gets a chance to have her own, she uncovers a long-hidden truth. The injustice she sees moves her to help save the men whom no one else believes need saving.

A forbidden love, grown in a time of despair, ignites a revolution. Folsom and Gwen, torn between their love for each other and their sense of duty, must make a choice. But some will stop at nothing to destroy them.

Hollow...

Original story but the narrators did it no justice. They are not bringing the story to life; they are just reading it. Very boring and easy to zone out.

Great Story Line

I LOVE the plot and I like a good steamy sex scene as much as the next person but it was a bit much. I thought it could have done without one or two of them. The story is worth it though and I'm excited to listen to the second book.

A life of unknown love and rebel

Um OMG! I devoured this book in one day. I was hooked. Tarryn is my number one and this is a first from Willow Asher. I'm blown away. The End of Men will eat your heart and soul. You need this book and all the books.

Surprisingly Good!

I wasn't too into the synopsis, but I gave it a shot due to the ratings and reviews. I'm glad I did because it was better than I expected. The character development and world building were on point and the readers were fantastic. Dear reader, I'll see you at book two.

Not what I thought it would be

Ok first I add this to my wish list because I used to live in Folsom CA So it just seemed like a good title to ketch my eye. Turns out it was really interesting new twist and good cliffhanger.

I don't think I'll be continuing this series. There were more dislikes than likes for me about this story. Also it could be the story wasn't for me. The narrators were only ok.

Powerful

In all honesty, I typically avoid reading any novel that has a dystopian element to it only because I have trouble connecting with that type of storyline. So, I put off starting this series for that particular reason. But I shouldn't have - this story isn't difficult to connect with. It's enticing, seductive, and powerful.

If you're willing to give this novel a chance, it will turn the world on end. It tackles sexism, levels of power, propaganda, and the importance of resistance. It's so much more than a story about men who are forced to re-populate the male species.

On a side note: That many women in the world = way too much estrogen!

Great book! Horrible male narrator

The book was extremely good! With the description I wasn’t sure if it would be that good or not, BUT I’m so glad I purchased it! It is very very graphic, as in sexual, but it is a great storyline. I’m about to start the second book titled jackal. I hope it in someway helps finish this one off. I wasn’t too crazy about the ending I don’t wanna spoil it but I think one of the main characters deserved a better ending. The only bad thing I have to say about this book is the male narration. Not so much when he is talking as himself but anytime he tries to impersonate a female voice it is horrible LOL! Love this author
