Publisher's summary

What would it take to simply give up?

Barely nothing.

Matthew "Red" Carter's life had been over since his mate had returned to be the tiger prince he was born to be. The mate Red would never—could never—measure up to. His life had been over since he was 17, and Bodhi's was a bright spark that was just beginning.

It would have been simple had Bodhi agreed.

But Bodhi had other ideas.

What would it take to simply fall in love?

I couldn’t wait to listen to this!

Once again, John Solo does a fantastic job performing this audiobook. I’ve loved everything I’ve listened to that he’s performed and he is a really great fit for this series.

At the end of the last book Red/Matthew ran away after his mate, Bodhi, was made to go with his parents. Now Bodhi is wasting away and his parents come to the shifter rescue looking for Red. They think Bodhi has mating disease (happens when mates are separated for too long) even though he and Red never officially mated.

Red is getting tired of running and living most of the time as a wolf. Rescuing a young human boy is just the thing to finally make him contact his Alpha and ask to return to his pack. He is reunited with Bodhi and they acknowledge that they are mates.

Bodhi’s parents don’t accept his choice of mate, even though they are fated mates. Bodhi finally puts his foot down and his parents seem to give in. We saw an example of the power Bodhi has in the last book where he helped to save someone’s life. Now he is gaining even more power.

This story had twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. I don’t dare say any more because it would be too much of a spoiler. I’ve absolutely loved all of the books in this series and will be sorry to see it end. Baby and the Enforcer is the last book and it’s coming in late July.

Note: this is a series that really needs to be listened to in order.

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

Action packed novel!

So, I can’t complain, which is good. This novel was full of action, simple romantic plots and the Alpha who rescues and loves his mate. I concur 100%.

Don't Mess with Fate

I love the dramatic way these two met, got separated, and were reunited. These two have so many twists and turns. Thankful rescue this time is swift. I appreciate how Bo can be the tiger he is without having to be something he's not. There is wonderful balance in his relationship with Red. I have enjoyed this series and love the tie in with Hunter's Creek. I can't wait to see what happens in the final book of this series.
