About this listen

Bane County is an Ongoing Saga . . .
Mystery, Suspense, an edge-of-your-seat Thriller with characters you’ll fall in love with. An old-school, heart-pounding, coming-of-age Horror series with 1,000s of 5-Star Reviews.
The large river-island of Bane County has a troubled past; but some histories are eagerly forgotten, especially those written in blood.
Nestled into the foothills of the National Wildlife Refuge, the small rural town of Silver Canyon seems idyllic to most; but a long-slumbering evil is about to reawaken.
Seventeen-year-old Bryce McNeel is your average teenage boy, living on a cattle ranch with his grandparents. Well, average genius, but he prefers to keep that fact to himself, no one likes a know-it-all.
When Bryce learns of a series of grisly deaths and mutilations that occurred decades earlier, his curiosity gets the better of him. Together with his cousin, Jackson, Bryce sets out to learn more about the macabre event; but as they delve deeper into the history and legends of Bane County, the two boys are horrified by what they find.
Unfortunately, history has a way of repeating itself.
As friends and neighbors begin to go missing, or worse, they find themselves embroiled in a battle for their young lives.

A well done werewolf horror series!

This is a review for the entire Bane County series. I really enjoyed this series from beginning to end. It reminded me a lot of the The Stain Series by Guillermo Del Toro/Chuck Hogan but with werewolves instead of vamps. I really enjoyed how it took place in a secluded country town a long a wilderness preserve so when the "outsiders" started to come you knew that bad things were about to happen. I really enjoyed the two main characters of the story and how they had to basically take the problem on all their own. The action was really good and the suspense build up to the attacks was well done. The virtual voice was the only issue but I was able to power through it because the story was really good. Maybe one day the other can get a live narrator to redo these. Highly recommend.

I have 3500 audio books this is in my top 5!!!

WOW! This author is AMAZING!!! I'm not a virtual Voice fan but this was ok. I get goosebumps thinking about a J R Rice / Sean Runnette pairing. (even RC Bray would be great!)

Great background and character development in the beginning. The stage is set beautifully for the action. Scary scenes ARE ACTUALLY scary. OMG There's a scene where they nonchalantly look over and the creature peaks in the doorway. It's like an audio jumpscare!!

character developemnt A+
Storyline A+
Suspense A+
Scary A+
Pace A+

I cannot say enough.except PLEASE use a real narrator. This series should DEFINITELY be made into a movie.

I have 3500 books and 90% are horror (hate fluffy fantasy & hate sparkly vampires) This series is in my top 5 (so far

WELL WORTH A CREDIT - I'd literally use 2 credits on it!!!

Best book I’ve read in a while

Great story. Not the same old werewolf tale. The robot narration in places interrupted the flow. I won’t be buying any books with robot narration until it gets better.

Chill and Good

I think the story is good. A little slow starting. Trying to get the time line. But very good on details and very gore … If you like horror movies and stories…..

The Great Werewolf Story

I always liked good werewolf stories. Vampires always get the glory and I usually find those stories boring there are some great ones but The werewolf gets the win for me. The virtual voice they used was excellent and the story well
Plotted out and written. The characters were real and developed and believable. They end the story well but left open to continue if the wish. I intend to get the rest of this series I really enjoyed it.

Outstanding

Story is extremely well written. Characters are likable and overall interesting. The virtual voice really wasn’t bad. It is just a voice reading a story the only flaw was it lacked emotion. By chapter 2 or 3 I had adjusted to it. I really hope they do the rest of the series soon. I would definitely use a credit or buy them! Don’t be scared off this amazing story by the virtual voice.

the story

I enjoyed how the story. It wasn't your typical werewolf turning another person into a werewolf love story. This was a well-thought-out story. I enjoy this type of werewolf story.

The story was well written, great detail and very scary. Held you on edge!

I wasn’t too happy with the robot narrator, it confused some of the conversations, it has no feeling. It’s too bad because it was a great story. The only reason I pushed through the narration, was that the story was good.
