I operated a small pro firm for 20 years ...

... and I was pretty naive when I started. This book would be of huge value, from the start. One really fine quality of the book is that it spends time on figuring out one's own finance-related thinking and personality, and then helpfully suggests many ways to put that into practice. It has the feel of walking around with a trusted and more experienced business-owning friend, hearing the real story of what running his or her business has been like. So, saying it is less technical in tone and approach than some books of this sort, is really paying a high compliment. I would demand that any young person (or not so young) without a lot of past small business experience, considering starting up a business, listen to this. In some cases, some details about the tools used (such as spreadsheets and smartphones versus older-school systems) might need to be updated mentally, but this is no problem, and the basic information and strategies are useful. My compliments to the author for pulling this together.
