#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!

FOX News host Pete Hegseth is back with what he says is his most important book yet: A revolutionary road map to saving our children from leftist indoctrination.

Behind a smokescreen of “preparing students for the new industrial economy,” early progressives had political control in mind. America’s original schools didn’t just make kids memorize facts or learn skills; they taught them to think freely and arrive at wisdom. They assigned the classics, inspired love of God and country, and raised future citizens that changed the world forever.

Today, after 16,000 hours of K-12 indoctrination, our kids come out of government schools hating America. They roll their eyes at religion and disdain our history. We spend more money on education than ever, but kids can barely read and write—let alone reason with discernment. Western culture is on the ropes. Kids are bored and aimless, flailing for purpose in a system that says racial and gender identity is everything.

Battle for the American Mind is the untold story of the Progressive plan to neutralize the basis of our Republic – by removing the one ingredient that had sustained Western Civilization for thousands of years. Pete Hegseth and David Goodwin explain why, no matter what political skirmishes conservatives win, progressives are winning the war—and control the “supply lines” of future citizens. Reversing this reality will require parents to radically reorient their children’s education; even most homeschooling and Christian schooling are infused with progressive assumptions. We need to recover a lost philosophy of education – grounded in virtue and excellence – that can arm future generations to fight for freedom. It’s called classical Christian education. Never heard of it? You’re not alone.

Battle for the American Mind is more than a book; it’s a field guide for remaking school in the United States. We’ve ceded our kids’ minds to the left for far too long—this book gives patriotic parents the ammunition to join an insurgency that gives America a fighting chance.

Whether you're a conservative looking to push back against the progressive agenda or simply someone who cares about the education of our children, this book is for you.

Must listen!

This was a great book full of eye opening and jaw dropping information. A must read for anyone questioning public (and even private) education. Specially with kids in school. Pete and David did a fabulous job on this.

Education is too important!

Began teaching music in the California public schools in January 1989. What I have seen in over thirty years of teaching (30 years public; three years private; August 2022 charter school) is a decay in our society. This book gives answers to: what and how did we arrive here! Wonder why this book won’t be on a reading list for college students studying to be teachers? Should be! Don’t we want all sides / diversity if you will. Pray our parents continue to keep up the fought! This (woke / Race over merit / etc.) is a cancer that is spreading!

Eye opening and much needed

My wife and I put our two kids in a classical school when public schools continued to fail them. We transferred our daughter to a Catholic Classical Academy her last two years of high school. Her intellectual growth and love of the Lord has been beyond our expectations. She is able to defend her faith and reads the great classics on her own. She is now on her way to college and we are confident she will be able to stay faithful and wise enough to keep her relationship with God.

This book is a must read if you want your child to be able to think and reason for themselves and not be indoctrinated into hating all that is true, beautiful and truly good. The education we all wish we had access to when we were young.

A must read for any parent.

A poignant and stinging repudiation of the "public" school system, it's current state, and the role it has played in our society. I will never forget the word paideia. Thank you Pete!

Excellent

My wife and I decided I would leave teaching/coaching in public school 16 years ago for classical Christian education and, other than a couple of weak moments (finances, extended family health issues) haven’t looked back. We are approaching the end of our journey of educating 5 children this way during their K-12 years and I am thankful to God that we did. The book does a fantastic job of explaining the need for CCE as well as some short stories about those that made the decision to walk that path. I would encourage those who develop this conviction by way of reading the book that this is the way to educate - go find families that share their conviction and have followed through on it and ask them how God has provided for them along the way. To my family, this has been as much of a blessing as the education itself…watching God care for His people when there seems to be no way forward.

Excellent read!

A much needed look at the educational system in America

Thank you for this book, it is inspiring me to step out of my own little pod to support Classical Christian Schools making a difference in our world.

More than I could have hoped for

I’m not sure what I was expecting in reading this book, but in doing so, I have been challenged and I’m ready to enter the battle.
