About this listen

There are two kinds of women in the world - those I can bang, and those I can’t.

My teammate’s sister?

She’s a can’t.

I moved in with her to protect her from a nasty ex, not to be the next guy in line.

She’s the brains.

I’m the brawn.

She’s the fruit.

I’m the sausage.

She talks too much.

I don’t talk at all, if I don’t have to.

Should be easy to resist her.

But every minute I spend with Felicity is another minute she gets under my skin. She makes me feel like something more than a dumb puckhead with a big Zamboni pony. And it’s getting harder to remember why I need to keep my hands to myself.

Beauty and the Beefcake is a vegan-friendly standalone romantic comedy featuring a hockey player whose vocabulary is the only thing smaller than a hockey puck, a book smart but aimless ventriloquist with too many voices in her head, a dilapidated old house that may or may not be haunted, and no cheating or cliffhangers.

Love Pippas books

I have loved and read all of pippas books since I first found them. They’re great love stories and really funny. I had read this book before but wen Ross really brought aeres to life and loved Virginia roses interpretation of felicity and all her puppets.

Love This Story!

I love this story. The voices for all the characters in Felicity's head is awesome! I was also impressed with Ares' voice since he is one of my favorite leading men!

The quiet and the quirky

Ares Berger is a quiet man. He’s known as the force because of his sheer size and demeanor on the ice. Felicity Murphy has more voices than some women have shoes. She’s a genius who loves to vent with her puppets. After a bad breakup, Felicity’s brother has Ares watch over her while he recovers from and injury. Who knew the man of few words and the woman with so many would be the perfect match.

I feel like you have to listen to this book to truly appreciate the joy that is Felicity. Virginia doesn’t miss a beat with the different voices for the puppets. Wen makes an amazing Ares. Although he not a man of many words his words are important and they were delivered perfectly.

Love me a good Hockey romance

I enjoy a good hockey romance, and this one did not disappoint. It was Hysterical... Pissed off Granny ghost? check. Phallic cookies? check. Ventriloquist? check. Misunderstood Hockey player? Check.

If you aren't laughing out loud during the first 90 seconds of this book, you need to sit down and relax... it was such a good listen.

Aries Aries Aries

How can you not fall in love with a big bear of a man. Aries is the least talkative hero you will ever fall in love with.

LOVE this book!!

Wen Ross was PERFECT to be the voice of Aries! Honestly, I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job...it's exactly what I imagined him to sound like!
And Virginia Rose has captivated me from the first book I listened to (Real Fake Love), and never let's me down! She's perfect for Felicity! I loved the story line and laughed out loud while driving down the road...I'm sure people were wondering what was so funny! Loved, loved, LOVED this book!

Ventriloquist meets emotion support monkey

Copper Valley Thruster’s hockey player, Ares…grunts an agreement to move in with his teammate’s genius sister to protect her from a crazy ex…but wait…doesn’t that make her off-limits??? Ummm…maybe his emotional support, cock-blocking monkey maybe?

Felicity Murphy is the sister of Ares’ teammate Nick Murphy. And Nick will do whatever it takes to keep his sister safe...as well as all of her voices and puppets…including suggest gruff and huge Ares Berger move in to keep her safe!

This storyline is hilarious and fast paced, the characters are enjoyable and I love the cameo appearances from other books by author Pippa Grant! The narrators (Wen Ross & Virginia Rose) do great! Especially with all of the “extra” voices in this one!

Odd, lovable characters

I frankly thought Felicity’s character would be too strange but when she finds Aries to love, it balances out all of her oddities. A woman with a little too much to say with the man of few words. They make the perfect pair. Their love transcends all.
