About this listen

The Jonathan Edwards trilogy includes three of the most important sermons ever preached on American soil.

"Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" is maybe the most important and well-known sermon of his, but also included is A Divine and Supernatural Light describing and illuminating what Edwards describes as a supernatural light imparted by God. His farewell sermon was given in June of 1750 and is a commendation to those who are in the Lord's service, a plea to maintain unity, avoid dissension and false doctrine, and a call to devote themselves to prayer.

Challenging and Blessing

I am glad I listened. As a pastor, it was encouraging to listen to his farewell sermon and know that even the mighty Jonathan Edwards delt with the same things I deal with.

Great Introduction to Jonathan Edwards

I wanted a way to begin learning about this man and his contributions as a preacher of the Christian message and this collection was a great way to get a taste! The sermons were short enough to hold my attention,
thematic so that I gained a deeper understanding of the doctrines, and read with just enough dramatization that I could gather a bit of what it may have been like to be in the original congregation. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to begin a study of Edwards.

Better & Less Critically Judgmental than expected. Very easy—considering the topic!

I have studied the Bible & heard sermons for over 50 years, & have a degree in theology. His understanding is great & his articulation is wonderful & practical. While not pulling punches in “…Angry God,” he gets the point across that God can forgive you NOW, so don’t risk an eternity you can’t imagine in Hell. Narrator is excellent. EVERYBODY needs to HEAR & not disdain the truth! This is the gospel, unfortunately passed over because the world does not understand God’s justice vs EVERY person’s sin; they don’t feel God is “fair,” so they ignore such a great salvation.
