About this listen

My teammates don’t call me a gambler for nothing.

As a hotshot forward for the Las Vegas Wolves hockey team, I, Landen Zehner, am known for taking chances - both on and off the ice.

Lucky for me, I almost always come out the winner.

That’s why I know I’m going to win over the team’s new event coordinator, Cricket Nance. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted.

So I’m going in, hard and fast, by making her a bet to give me a real chance.

That means seeing no other people.

I tell her to trust me, and we’ll both come out winners.

You can bet on it, baby.

Bet on Ice is the ninth novel in the best-selling Boys of Winter hockey-romance series.

I Bet You'll Love This One

This might be my favorite of the Boys of Winter series. S.R. Grey's series never fails to pull me in and keep me engaged from the first page to the last. This particular book is a lot of fun. A couple of harmless bets, what could possibly go wrong (or maybe right)? The book is full of witty banter and great characters. I love how close the team members are and how they joke around but are yet supportive of each other.
Landen meets Cricket in a casino VIP room and he pushes for a little side wager. Of course he wins and he wants a date but she pushes him to wait until the next day to see if he really wants to collect on that bet. The next day he finds she is the new event coordinator for the team. The date goes on and another bet is made and their relationship moves rapidly, maybe a little too quickly, punctuated by a few more bets. I love instant attraction stories and this one ticks all my boxes: great characters, hot hockey players, a strong heroine, awesome banter, fun situations, low angst, and an swoony HEA.
I can't wait until the next player meets his match.
Oliver Clarke and Regan West do an awesome job of bringing Landen and Cricket to life. Mr. Clarke's voice is as smooth as the ice Landen skates on and Ms. West give Cricket the perky personality she has to stay the course with Landen. Their chemistry is evident in the audiobook and add more enjoyment to the story.

Good hockey story

Landen and Cricket's story was an insta connection story. They moved full steam ahead from the first date which takes a toll on one's emotions. I thought their story gave a lot of thought into what happens in a relationship when you move so quickly through what can take time. The story was good and the series is a great series. I love these boys and watching them fall in love.

The narrators did a great job with the story.

Ticked all my boxes

I can’t get enough of the Boys of Winter and I was excited for Bet on Ice which is book 9 and Landen Zehner and Cricket Nance’s story and I wasn’t disappointed because for me this is the perfect addition to this wonderful series.
The narrators, Oliver Clarke and Reagan West are fairly new to me but that’s about to chance because they did a marvellous job bringing this book to life. They were really on point with Landen and Cricket and I fell in love all over again with this couple.
Landen plays for the Las Vegas Wolves and a chance meeting at a blackjack table has him trying to convince Cricket for a date, it’s only when he wins the final hand that Cricket agrees but only if Landen waits until tomorrow before calling her to set it up. Wondering why tomorrow is so important he reluctantly agrees but it’s when he skates onto the ring the next day for a charity event all is revealed .....skating around is the new event coordinator and yes it’s Cricket .....
This book ticked all my boxes, I smiled, I swooned, I sighed and I fell hard and fast for Landen. Cricket is just adorable and I really didn’t want their story to come to an end and that for me means I’m reading a very special story. It was great getting to know the new characters and it was great catching up with the old favourites from previous books. Looking forward to the next instalment for the Boys of Winter and their partners they find love with.

Boys of Winter Series 💙

Audio Review: Bet on Ice (Boys of Winter #9) is another goal winner in this hockey romance series. I love the Boys of Winter and it's always fun to hear about them again. This is Landen Zehner (Forward for Las Vegas Wolves) and Cricket Nance (Event coordinator) witty banter filled story. A sports romance with smexy times, good narrative and buildup. Lots of laughs, mixed with angst, and drama in this great world this author created. Great ending. Looking forward to listening to what's next.

Narrators Oliver Clarke, Reagan West dual narration was the final goal. Oliver's inflection is smooth and easy listening. I love his tone. Reagan's outgoing tone brings out Cricket's character and together these two brought the story to reality.

Fall in love with Landon and Cricket!

This series....I love it! Fall in love with Landon and Cricket! Both new to the Wolves, Landon is a forward, finding his groove with the team and Cricket the new public relations contact. They meet under fun and unusual circumstances, and their chemistry is immediate. The question is will it translate to forever! Fast paced, passionate and exciting, SR Grey once again gives us a story to sink our teeth into. It has a little angst, a whole lot of fun and witty banter and a couple that is impossible not to love. Landon is very confident with a huge heart but I love how Grey gives him that slight sense of doubt. Cricket too has a lot of faith in herself, but can she trust this new relationship? Slightly off kilter, we find these two enjoying Vegas and cards and a little bit of bluffing! Good times and a great addition to this Boys of Winter series.

Oliver Clarke and Reagan West lead us through this fun listen with a stellar performance. Oliver Clarke's voice is perfect for Landon. He gives him that self-confident feel, both on and off the ice. Reagan West is a favorite and she creates Cricket with spunk and vulnerability. This is a great team and I enjoyed their narration.

Boys of Winter!

Bet on Ice by S.R. Grey is a fantastic listen and addition to the Boys of Winter series. I so love how she brings characters from other books into the story, adding to the dimension of the new story. Cricket and Landon have such good chemistry and banter. The Wolves hockey team, casinos, Las Vegas setting, all bring great imagery that I can visualize. Both Oliver Clarke and Reagan West bring the characters to life. They add another layer to my enjoyment. I loved this book and highly recommend.

Sweet Romance!

I read it and loved it! The audiobook version brilliantly brings this story to life. This is the ninth book in the amazing Boys of Winter Series, a Sports Romance. Landen and Cricket’s romance is well written, and sweet. Cricket is a beautiful character, sassy, and smart. Landen is handsome. They share a strong chemistry and an instant attraction/love. Regan West and Oliver Clarke did an excellent job with the narration. This is a great addition to the series. I love this series!

Go get him Cricket!

I absolutely loved Cricket. She wasn’t afraid to go after what she wanted and she didn’t play any games. Ironic because the whole premise is a series of bets. Landon was love struck and though he had a moment of stupidity, I’m glad he pulled out of it before major damage was done. All in all a great listen and I can’t wait for more of these guys and their women!

Entertaining story and narration

Boys of Winter series from S.R.Grey has become one of my favourite hockey series. I love her style of writing, her characters are strong and have depth and I look forward to reading each and every book she writes.

This is book nine and is Las Vegas Wolves forward Landen Zehner and Cricket Nance’s story and was an entertaining read. Landen knows what he wants both on and off the ice and from the moment he sees the new events coordinator, he knows that he wants her. He isn’t known as a gambler for nothing and he challenges Cricket to a bet over the blackjack table. Who knew that a bet could be the start of something so powerful and life changing?

Narrated by Oliver Clarke and Reagan West they really brought the story to life for me. Their portrayal of Landen and Cricket was spot on and their voices were easy to listen to and they certainly did justice to the story that Ms. Grey wove.

The chemistry between Landen and Cricket is intense and their banter witty; truthfully I loved everything about these two and didn’t want this story to end. One of the things I love about this series is the camaraderie between all the players, they have one another’s backs and that adds an additional layer to the story.
