Publisher's summary

Hayes Davis is America's sweetheart, the #1 hockey player in the country, and my fake fiancé. Simple, right? It would be, if my betrothed were anyone else.

But it turns out America's sweetheart is arrogant, selfish, and a guy I have no intentions of letting break my heart again.

It was never supposed to happen. But then one night changes everything.

Now, he's not only my pretend fiancé but my very real baby daddy.

How can two people who hate each other pull off the lie of a lifetime while figuring out how to raise a child together? Everything between us was supposed to be fake, but I'm not pretending anymore.

Contains mature themes.

Cute feel good story

Sophia and Hayes

Okay so my favorite trope is surprise accidental pregnancy. Literal favorite, so this story had that going for it. The narration was perfect as expected with these two veterans. Aiden's voice is dreamy and Emma is superb. That being said the story itself lacks a little oomph. It started strong but then kind of petered out. It was a cute little feel good story with minimal conflict. Playboy who changes his ways and nerdy-ish girl who gets over her pain from the past and falls for the bad boy.

Hockey Romance

Pretty cute enemies to lovers/accidental pregnancy romance. It was pretty formulaic but I enjoyed the audio performance. The other woman drama was entirely unnecessary and overly dramatic which brought it down a lot for me.

Predictable

The story was so predictable, the main character, Sophia, was so irritating, she ruined it for me. The narrators were great and I'm happy with the ending.

Great Narration…okay story

The narration was great. The story was predictable but enjoyable, until the 3rd act breakup.

Enemies to lovers with surprise pregnancy!

This was such a cute, fast little read! If you enjoy the second chances, accidentally pregnancy, enemies to lovers trope this is def the book for you! I loved how Hayes worships the ground Sofia St. James walks on despite how much Sofia tries to push him away.

Hayes and Sophia

An angsty, fun, entertaining and heartfelt enemies to lovers romance. Hayes and Sophia are fiery, passionate but most of all adorable together. I enjoyed this story.

Typical

The main female character is so whiny and annoying. I was so irritated listening to her. I did not complete the book.

Couldn’t finish it

Many hours into the book and have no clue why they even hated each other. What even happened that that changed? The author tells what they feel too much without showing the steps that gets the characters there. It makes the book a bit boring. Couldn’t finish it.
