Publisher's summary

Merrill Frederick Unger (1909-1980) was a Bible commentator, scholar, archaeologist, and theologian. Perhaps best known for his classic study and reference volume Unger's Bible Handbook, he served in the ministry and taught at Gordon Divinity School and Dallas Theological Seminary. Recognized as one of the 20th century's most important evangelical scholars of the Bible, Unger provides a study of the invisible spiritual forces behind the scenes of contemporary history that is scholarly yet accessible to Christians. His work Biblical Demonology (1945) systematically explores the scriptural teaching on demonic forces, including a range of paranormal topics such as augury, divination, necromancy, and magic.

Solid, Biblical, Truth

This book should be required reading for anyone in ministry. A classic literary addition to any library for both reference and solid hermeneutics. Everyone in the ministry of deliverance and healing would do well to digest this book.

Not an easy read... nearly every single fact is referenced by a series of supporting scriptures and context to follow.

Best book ever

I was apprehensive about reading this book but after a recommendation by a friend I decided to read it. It starts out slow like a lot of books but if you really want to know about this subject, I’ve found no better.

Solid Biblical Truth

Clear and directly connected to God’s word. If you want to know the complete description and mission of Satan and his demons from the Bible, this is the book for you. It is not presented in a flashy or exciting way… “Just the facts, Ma’am” and the reader enhances that dryness. But, it is a complete and valuable effort.

Needed reading for spiritual warfare!

Well written and easy to understand. Verifiable sources by way of bible scripture. The mention of Dementia also answered a belief that have about evil spirits.

Who Knew that the Scripture Had Such an Incalculable Abundance of Direction in this Arena?!

The only tiny ding (4 stars instead of 5 on “Performance”) I could leave here came from the narrator’s shortcomings being a thespian instead of a theologian. Other than that tiny bit of “entertainment dryness,” I LOVED this book! I could go on & on about several areas of demonology that the book shone a bright and piercing light on (like NO OTHER book I have ever read) but I walked away BLOWN away by what I now understand about the both the demons’ monstrous role in human governance and Armageddon. The 2nd of these has been turned into a cliche, (thanks to Hollywood) but don’t be fooled. It’s bigger and worse than nearly everyone thinks. I wish this book had Volume 2 to go farther & deeper. Looking for the hard copy to keep at hand for all of its abundant references in its myriad of topics. Just incredible…
