About this listen

If you think ghosts are only responsible for hauntings, think again. The Demonologist reveals the grave religious process behind supernatural events and how it can happen to you. Used as a text in seminaries and classrooms, this is one book you can't put down. For over five decades, Ed and Loraine Warren have been considered America's foremost experts on demonology and exorcism. With over 3,000 investigations to their credit, they reveal what actually breaks the peace in haunted houses. The book was expertly written by Gerald Daniel Brittle, a nonfiction writer with advanced degrees in literature and psychology, specializing in mystical theology. Dont listen after dark!

If you could sum up The Demonologist in three words, what would they be?

Informative, Scary and Great!

What did you like best about this story?

There is no one thing I liked best. This is a great listen. Narrator did an amazing job and the story def stands on its own. I couldnt listen at night as just too creepy.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Ed says "Ive never met an atheist in a haunted house"

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Too many to count! This book is informative and a hell of a ride.. no pun intended. Anyone even thinking of playing with the occult NEEDS to listen/read this book!

As scary as it sounds. It’s freshly positive.

Warren battle with inhuman spirits and their positive mindset to defend themselves is beautiful. As a person who has experience certain ghostly moments (wouldn’t say hauntings), recently losing my father, and has had interest in the paranormal. Especially helps to educate yourself on things that you SHOULDN’T DO and SHOULD DO when curiosity comes along the paranormal. It was beautiful read and really shows how great the warrens were combating the unknown.

What made the experience of listening to The Demonologist the most enjoyable?

Even if you aren't a believe in this kind of stuff, it's a really interesting read. Just suspend your disbelief and enjoy. I am pretty sure you won't take the occult lightly after this book--just in case.

Part Encyclopedia, part biography, all creepy

If you could sum up The Demonologist in three words, what would they be?

GO...TO...CHURCH!

What about Todd Haberkorn’s performance did you like?

Decent narration. Nothing to write home about, but the story itself is what keeps you hooked.

Any additional comments?

This book has to appeal to your particular interests for it to have meaning or value. Those who don't believe will dismiss everything as mistake, coincidence, delusions, etc. This book goes into detail what happens when the world stops being so bright and the darkness takes over. Very scary and certainly creepy.

Great Book

Man is this book great! The cases they talk about really give you a new perspective on the spirit realm and how real it is. Especially the narration. Uses different voices when he speaks for ed or Lorraine.

Great listen

This book was good because it makes you think about good versus evil. There are times were you'll feel the hair on the back of you neck stand on end.
