About this listen

When the last thing you want is everything you need....

Seb Calloway isn't interested in shifters. After his best friend bonded with one, he avoids getting involved with them - no matter how hot they are - to prevent the same thing from happening to him. Why take the risk for a few hours of fun?

Tim Walters is the pack doctor. Considered to be mild-mannered and non-threatening by pack standards, he prides himself on being able to stay calm and maintain his control at all times. Desperate for a bond of his own, he knows his interest in Seb is an exercise in futility, but he can't seem to help himself.

When news emerges that threatens Seb's safety, he and Tim need to fake a relationship to keep Seb safe. Despite Seb's refusal to be anything other than friends with benefits, what starts out as pretend, quickly becomes more - for Tim at least. If Tim doesn't want to end up heartbroken, he needs to prove to Seb that loving a shifter doesn't mean losing himself.

Contains mature themes.

I knew going in how the back would go, its a series and follows suit. Anthony was just ok. Annabelle her usual good.

dullsville

hard to sray awake for this passionless tale, Just because a story has sex scenes they alone don't create warmth and feeling in it's atmosphere.

it was predictable

I know these books are meant to be full of action in the bedroom, and I get that. This book felt very sex driven and I don't recall... much in the middle actually happening. I just remember there was sex.

It seemed that the bond between the two characters just happened, rather than progressing like the first book.
In addition the human character ultimately was the same for this book, which left it a little boring. then at the end it was obvious that the human was going to turn, and it didn't work for me because he didn't do much to earn that opportunity in my mind.
But because in Book 1 we didn't get a werewolf turn, it was pretty easy to predict this human would.
I agreed with the initial rejection of trying to turn him and I haven't lost that.
