80's Horror

I totally enjoyed this horror thriller which reminds me of the 80’. Enjoyed the characters of Shaina, Helen and Dashel. There is violence, sex, clowns, hidden passages with surprise ending. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank You

An exciting trip to the fair

The author did a great job of grabbing my attention early on, and keeping the tension steady so I wanted to keep listening. There are a lot of twists and turns, and I absolutely thought that it was going to turn out to be a supernatural tale of some sort. Those are not my favorites, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover my assumption was incorrect. I enjoyed it enough that when I learned one of the characters has his own story in another book, I had to grab that one as well.

Really great

So I really enjoyed this. I can’t say I didn’t figure it out but it was a good story.
I enjoyed the characters and would love to listen to others books in the series.
I do have a complaint. When a chapter is named off of a character you don’t have to say their name in every sentence. It felt like a lot of space filler.
Narration by Carra Webster was really good.

This book was not the right fit for me.

The combinations of the odd wording, along with the distracting narrator, did not work for me. It's not a bad book, many people will enjoy it, but for me, it just didn't hit the mark. I wish I could pinpoint what the narrator was doing that was so off-putting for me, but something just kept pulling me out of the story, making it hard for me to feel engaged with the story.

Beware the fair

Enjoy cotton candy or candy apples? Or do you prefer the fun house? If you do, this book might change your mind!

I enjoyed the story and the cameo of a character from another book by this author. That was surprising.

I don't want to say anything more so you can discover the secrets of the fair on your own.

Back Fair

This book was well written. It was so full of horrific scenes, you can imagine being there. Shaina only wants to get home and see her kids. She is stopped by a police road block due to an accident, then kidnapped. Her terror is only starting. A better narrator would have been nice.Carra Websters dry narration was the only drawback. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'

Creepy Clown

There are plenty of horror stories outh there known for having horrible endings. This isn't one of those. The ending was really great.
There' s something about creepy clown and carnivals that I find appealing. It's a great topic for any horror book.
I really enjoyed how the chapters were broken down by character. I feel like that gave me the perfect opportunity to get to know most of them (at least the main ones)

its ok

I was given this book for free from audiobook boom and asked to leave an unbiased review for the author and narrator.
The story was pretty good, but the narrator just “read” the book, no real inflections, no character changes nothing, so it was pretty boring listening to it. The audio was also off going in and out as in louder – softer
