About this listen

Love is impossible. Hate is an open game.

Kimberly

He was once my best friend, now he’s my worst enemy.

Xander Knight is heartbreakingly beautiful.

Ridiculously popular.

Brutally cruel.

He’s a knight, but won’t do any saving.

Xander

We started as a dream, now we’re a nightmare.

Kimberly Reed is pathetically fake.

Terribly innocent.

Secretly black.

She can hide but never from me.

Black Knight is part of Royal Elite Series but could be listened to on its own. For better understanding of the world, you might want to check out the previous books first. This is a high school bully romance, mature new adult, and contains visceral mental health situations that some listeners can find triggering.

Black Knight

Oh, how I have loved this series and I have to say that this book completely broke me. So much emotional angst that I couldn’t help but feel lost and heartbroken right along with them. Such a great series with fantastic writing and absolutely amazing narration.

It's an okay story...

So this is book 4 and by now I'm used to the intensity in this series. However, in this book I felt the intensity was lacking.... like with Aiden.

The story starts off with best friends who stop speaking to each other for seven years even though their lives are still intertwined (neighbors). This was very hard to grasp. The story does get wierder and complex... eventually interesting.

The narration in this series is just unbelievable. It is done so well. Amazing.

Overall, I do recommend this book as the story is good and unique.

Narration was superb

I listened to the audiobook. The narration was absolutely amazing. Shane East and Keira Stevens were beyond outstanding. Especially Keira. This was the first book I had listened to that she narrated and she was perfection. There was one chapter in Kimberly’s POV that was so moving and I just had to sit and take it all in.

This book deals with some very hard subject matter for people that were so young. Everything Kimberly went through absolutely broke my heart for her. It took me a bit to really like Xander. But once we understood what was going on with him, things made more sense.

My only issue was these characters didn’t seem like high schoolers. They at the youngest seemed like they should have been college aged.

Favorite

This is my favorite book and audible from the series. Please check the cws before listening. I fell in love with Kim in the first 3 books of the series about Elisa and Aiden. I always wonder why Xander bullied her.

I was so happy that this audible tells the story of Kim and Xander. Shane East and Keria Stevens really bring the characters to life. You feel every emotion and turmoil that Kim goes through.

The scenes between Kim and Xander are HOT! HOT! HOT!

Royal Elite Series

Black Knight (Royal Elite, Book 4) starts a new chapter with a new couple who's story reads in one book. I loved how detailed the background is with these books in this series. I'm glad we met Kim and Zander in earlier works in this series and got to know tem better now. The writing style continues to flow and captivate you. Oodles of plot twists and explosive secrets providing exceptional entertainment. I loved the ending epilogue. Already jumped into book and look forward to see what it brings to the next couple. I loved Kim and Zander's characters and lovestory.

Shane East, Keira Stevens duet narration is just what this series needs. The characters come alive and y get emerse nto their love saga. I love love Shane East. He is a top notch narrator. His inflection is perfect. Keira Stevens is a talented narator. I love ht inflection. Together these two perfected the story.

Pure Raw Emotion at its Best!

This story is brilliantly written. I’ve never felt so emotionally destroyed by a book before. I absolutely could not stop listening. Kim and Xan are so incredibly broken. I didn’t not see that twist as to why Xan has acted the way he did! Holy plot twist! Honestly my favorite of the series!!!

This book! This series! Amazing story telling!

This book can be enjoyed a stand-alone, but I recommend listening to the whole series in order. Xander and Kimberly are flawed characters dealing with their demons while trying to figure out who they are to each other. The circle of friends inhabit a privileged universe, but none of them have it easy. With high expectations come spectacular falls from grace. This book in particular demonstrates the bravery in finally acknowledging you’re in trouble, need help, and probably of the professional kind. It leaves the listener hopeful for these characters that things will get better, but there will be a lot of stuff to get through to the reach the happily every after. There are surprises in this story that literally left me gasping out loud. Highly recommend this series.

Best one yet

I put off listening to this book after books 1-3 as I didn't think I'd like it as much as Aiden and Elsa's story but I couldn't have been more wrong. I enjoyed Kim and Xander's story even more! The plot moved along at a good pace and had twists I did not see coming. In the beginning Xander seemed like he could not be redeemed but wow, the secret was a doozy I did not guess beforehand! Kim's story also brought genuine tears to my eyes. The steam was HOT too. This audio book will be listened to many times again.

🔥⭐️⭐️ MUST LISTEN!! ⭐️⭐️🔥

Hi, my name is Ari and I‘m obsessed with this series! Rina Kent delivers the perfect combinations of some off favorite tropes: bully romance and enemies to lovers! Not only does the story stand out in a sea of bully romances, but the characters feel unique, real, and the story is completely addictive. The wave of emotions in this story managed to both crush me and give me life! Not to mention Xander is everything! The man is infuriatingly delicious and I was here for it!

Narration was performed by Shane East and Keira Stevens and holy guacamole consider me dead. Their performances brought Xander and Kimberly’s story to life perfectly. This audio is beyond credit worthy and I can’t wait for the next one!
