👍🏻

Brett and Tallie story is worth to listen! But what happened I’m nat going to tell you :-) just listen 😜
I like this book (#2) even better than 📕 #1. I like narrators especially when they read the main characters in a book - the only thing that really upset me was that Ian's voice sounds too old.

Another hit

This book was very good. I loved how strong Tallie was. Brett was the typical hero we’ve come to expect from Lynn Raye Harris. The books are a bit formulaic, but it obviously is a good formula, because I keep reading every single one she writes! As much as I’d love to gobble them all up, I take my time working my way through them all. Most will likely get read again as soon as I catch up to the most recent release.
The narrators did an excellent job as always.

Great romantic suspense!

I started this series backwards so I was so excited to get Tallie and Brett's story. It certainly didn't disappoint. It was another fast paced story with a lot of action. Tallie is a strong woman who falls for her rescuer and who wouldn't? Brett seems dreamy!

I love this band of brothers and the women that they end up with. This was another great story in this series with all of the essential things a romantic suspense novel should have. I was on the edge of my toes!

I listened to this one and the narrators were great! They really got me into the story. I didn't want to stop listening.

Enjoying The Next Book In The Series

I have heard Maxine Mitchell before and love her work. Dan Bitter is new to me and I enjoyed his performance as Brett Wheeler. I have read this book when it first came out and hearing it in audio now made the second time around great.
Below is my original review of this book:
Wow! Two for two. This second book in the new series Black's Bandits is as good as the first one. And by the feel of the first two this promises to by another great series by Ms Harris. In this book we meet Brett Wheeler another of Ian Black's team, and Tallie Grant a woman who while in France on a shopping trip for work is taken and put up for action. Because of the tragic childhood Brett experienced the assignment he is currently on is very personal to him. He feels it is his duty to rescue Tallie. This book is full of suspense, danger, twits and turns along the way as well as appearances by Ian Black and some the team we met in the first book of the series. Not to mention a Natasha, a woman surrounded in mystery. Friend or foe to the team? Along with all the action and suspense there is also a great love story in the making. The connection Brett and Tallie feel for one another only grows stronger as they have to stay once step ahead of the people who may still be after Tallie and are forced to hide in safe homes along the way back to the US. I absolutely loved this story and the way Ms Harris is able to capture your attention from beginning to end. Wonderful HEA! I am looking forward to Colt and Angie's story next.

Exciting..... Touching.... Thrilling....

What's not to love about a novel of Ms. Harris!?! The premise of this story held my interest and had exciting thrills throughout the storyline.

This is Brett Wheeler and Tallie Grant's story. Brett is on a mission for Ian Black to infiltrate a human trafficking organization. Tallie has been abducted and is one of the women being auctioned off to the highest bidder. Thinking she's an underage female, Brett's determined to save her from the clutches of the monsters whose sole desire is to make her their sex slave.

Unfortunately, Tallie remains at risk for abduction via retaliation and Brett is then faced with devising a full proof protection plan. Will he devise such a plan? Are there others out there that are targeting Tallie? If so, why?

I was gifted an audible book from the author and leave this review in exchange for the digital copy. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and highly recommend this novel.

Black Bandits are HOT

Black's Bandits is becoming my favorite Lynn Raye Harris series and definitely a one-click series. These guys all come from mixed and troubled pasts and the mystery of Ian Black continues to intrigue.

Lynn does "pulled from the headlines" stories very well and this story about sex trafficking is no different. Tallie's story is told in a way that feels like it could really happen to anyone. Brett's reasoning for saving Tallie and his passion for fighting the cause makes him one of the more swoon-worthy heroes I've read in a long time. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good romance and this could be listened to as a stand-alone this early in the series, however, I would recommend listening
to pretty much the entire HOT series when you are done to get caught up and get to know the Bandits better from other perspectives.

The audio narrators did a great job of capturing these characters and keeping my attention. Both Maxine Mitchell and Dan Bittner were new to me, but they were fabulous.

BDI To The Rescue

Brett and Tallie certainly didn't meet under ideal circumstances, but that doesn't mean things won't work out for them. They just need to get around those who are trying to keep them apart, with the help of Ian Black and BDI. The narrators, Dan Bittner and Maxine Mitchell lend their wonderful voices to this book.

Compelling story

This is such a compelling story. The backstory for Brett about his mother is heartbreaking. But look at what he has become because of his life experiences. And I'm not referring to the mercenary, but the man he is. He has a huge heart that most don't ever get to see. All they see is the hardness, but they don't look below the surface. Tallie does.

Although Tallie's life hasn't bee easy the last few years, she never expected to be kidnapped and auctioned. No one ever expects that. Lucky for her Brett was there. She is saved from an even more horrible experience, but she doesn't know that yet.

I like that they took their time to trust each other and get to know one another. Add in things that were not said or were not to be repeated, it made it hard to know for sure if Brett really was a good guy.

Finally, we have Natasha. I'm still trying to figure out this woman. I do not know what her endgame is, but Lord help whoever is in her sights. When it is time for her book, I can't wait to see who can tame her enough to think about settling down. I don't know if she will ever settle down, but someone will make her consider it. Only time will tell.

I have since listened to the audiobook. Maxine Mitchell is steady as always. She handles both the female and male characters well. Dan Bittner is new to me. I may have listened to him once or twice before, but he's not a normal narrator for me. I enjoyed his portrayal of Brett. I think he makes an excellent "bandit".
