Ellen Archer is a master audio book performer!

I would not hesitate to buy anything Ellen Archer performs. The Green Rider books are wonderful with or without audio. That said Ellen Archers performance brings the characters alive and adds even more to make the series perfection.

Good but weird at one point

If you have read my other reviews, you know I have loved this series so far. But I have to say the weird ritual rape scene kind of threw me for a loop. There has been nothing like that so far in the series. It was handled as gracefully as possible but...really?

Other than that, I love the characters and the situations they get into. So this book is a continuation of the greatness of the previous books minus that one weird blemish.

Ellen Archer does her usual excellent job portraying these characters.

I would still recommend the series as Karigan gets thrust into the most amazing circumstances as a member of the Green Riders. I have very much enjoyed reading them so far.

Cliff hanger really??

What did you love best about Blackveil?

I liked the team work with the elves and that you can feel that Grandmother is about at the end of her run.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that kari keeps moving forward even when it looks like the end is upon her.

What does Ellen Archer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She help to bring more life to each player in the story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The king just piss me off by the way he keeps giving into the politics, he seems to forget that while he may need his allies they also need him more as a leader and as the one who can take away their rank and standing if found untrustworthy to the kingdom.

Enjoyable series

Any additional comments?

This is a wonderful series. It first reminded me of Mercedes Lacky and Robert Jordan but then evolved.

Great Book

Where does Blackveil rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I read these books and enjoyed the story and can't wait for each addition. When I heard that they were doing an audio book I was a bit Leary. Some are done horribly, but Ellen Archer did a tremendous job. I have enjoyed listening to her and can't wait for the next.

love audible for bringing this audio to us

If you fancy a well written fantasy with all the right ingredients, with tales that weave in and out the main one without being all mess up, with the universal battle between good and evil not being too predictable, with the right dose of romance, an -of course- unobtainable one at that and again making you doubt the final outcome.Well I think you will enjoy this series, as for this book (Blackveil) in particular the positive point is mainly that keeps your interest in the series and you expect the next one, which in my opinion at this point in the series is no small task.
The negative points are the time elapsed between books and the recounts needed to update the reader of previous events. But miss Kristen Britain does not overdo the latter
so, all in all i'll say: enjoyable, worth the money and the time!

Great series

Absolutely loving this series; I'm a little disappointed that this one is a bit more adult than the first three.

Simply amazing!

This book and the series as a whole has me ranting to my friends, it's just too good to keep to myself. They have no idea what I'm talking about (I didn't spoil anything) I usually don't like stories that jump from point of views, but that not the case with this series. Each character is so genuine and interesting on their own, that I feel compelled to listen to their adventure. I think that's hard to pull off, but in this series it was done expertly.
