It is not often that I find myself suspending most other interests by devoting my time binging on a book series but, alas, I find myself in that rare occurrence with this book series and Blood Magic continues engross me. It was so captivating that I found myself listening to it while being worked on in the dentist's chair. There are multiple plot arcs, each having the key players greedily attempting to acquire the power of gems while behind the scenes coaxing other tribes to align with in their preparation for another war. And when war finally comes, the macabre horrors and horrific types of deaths unleashed is astonishing.

{minor spoiler] When the battles end and all sides agree to an end to the carnage, I was a bit disappointed that the one leader who instigated the whole confrontation hadn't been held accountable for their atrocities[/minor spoiler]

What a truly gifted narrator Mark Boyett is.

Another gem another fantastic story to go with it
