About this listen

The Blue Bloods are back—and their fangs are sharper than ever.

After defeating Lucifer and sacrificing the love of her life, Jack, Schuyler wakes up back in New York safe and sound. Only it's not quite the New York she knows, and she's not in her regular body. She looks different and feels different, and so does everyone else. Schuyler soon discovers that in this world, her best friend has a different last name, her parents are both alive and happy, and the love of her life? Not so dead after all. The catch? Jack has no idea who she is. As it turns out, Schuyler is not in her New York. She's not even in her universe. This is an alternate reality. One where Lucifer is alive and well, Blue Bloods are hardly benevolent, and Jack may have turned to the dark side.

Just when she thinks all is lost, Schuyler is contacted by a familiar friend—a friend from her world who actually remembers the Schuyler she used to be! But the friend also has a theory, and it's one she doesn't like: that Schuyler was sent here to defeat Lucifer. Again. And that she's the only person in this universe—or any universe—who can defeat him.

Better than White Nights

This is a better sequel series than the New Blue Bloods Coven. White Nights was a huge disappointment to me. Especially since I adore this series (I’ve listened to the entire series several times). I hope the next book is just as good as this one.
Narrator was very good. However I do wish there was some consistency in the pronunciation in terminology.
Worth the credit if you’re a blue bloods fan.

Not as expected!

I absolutely love the other books in this series. This one? No...just no! I had to force myself to finish it. I've listened to the other ones at least 3 times. This one is nothing like them. The reader's voice was extremely juvenile. Her pronunciation of important words were just as juvenile and incorrect. Ceremonia was "KAY-ra-monya." Venature was "ven-AY-ter" like tater. Abaddon was "A-ba-dawn." Nephillim as "na-FILL-um." I don't understand the reason for choosing this reader over the more mature voices of the previous books. I don't think I will purchase the next one if the same narrator is used. Sad for me. I REALLY love your other books!!! 🥰

#reincarnated

This is one true way to bring an amazing series back to life. I finished this in 1 day because I could not put it down. When I got my book I had decided that I'd wake up early the next day & start reading but what I didn't know was that I'd become so addicted to it that I turned my phone on vibrate & didn't put the book down until I was done (well except for bathroom breaks, drinks, & food & even then I still kept listening on here). I will now be going back & listening/reading the Blue Blood series & this all over again. Thank you Melissa De La Cruz for each second you put into each of your books. Your hard-working, dedication, skill & passion has not gone unnoticed by this fan.

Not worth the nostalgia

It's been a very long time since I have read a Blue Bloods book. This story had me asking myself a lot of questions:
1. Would this had been a better experience if I had read it, like the others, vice listening?
2. Is this reader purposely being inconsistent with her pronunciations?
3. Was Schuyler always this naive?
4. Would other readers have picked such corny voices for some of the characters also?
5. Why are there glaring plot holes?
6. Why is Schuyler so seemingly helpless????
7. Was Schuyler always this naive? I know, I've asked this already but coooome on!
I finished the book so you don't have to.... ever!
