About this listen

Max Shannon is a good cop, one of the best in New York Enforcement. Born with a natural shield that protects him against Psy mental invasions, he knows he has little chance of advancement within the Psy-dominated power structure. The last case he expects to be assigned is that of a murderer targeting a Psy Councilor's closest advisors. And the last woman he expects to compel him in the most sensual of ways is a Psy on the verge of a catastrophic mental fracture.

Still good, but this one wasn't GREAT

Maybe I just got use to the changeling factor...not sure, but this one fell a bit flat for me. I was excited to listen to the great detective Maz's story, he's a human...and he falls for a Psy! Not just any Psy, but a Psy whose job it is to go into peoples minds and strip them of their thoughts...she is a J-Psy, the J is for Justice, and she's got a way of dishing out her own.

It was nice to visit to world again, but this one just didn't tie together as nicely as some of the others. The explanation for the HEA was really kind of weak, but if you follow the series it's a must have.

Very Enjoyable Listen

The narrator did a good job. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this audiobook as Max was just a minor secondary character previously and it usually takes me longer to like the Psy characters. I really liked Sophia and Max from the start and their story intrigued me from the beginning.

One of the better ones.

I like these books very much some more than others. This one was a good one. I don't always like the characters and sometimes her story line is fast and then I'm scrambling to figure out what she's writting about. But I will defiently finish the series.

Increasingly Complicated

This book for me was more about building upon the layers of the previous books than it was about the actual couple. I liked the couple and watching them come together was nice but it was seeing the actions of the other players that really made me enjoy this. It gives more of a look into Nikita and the rest of the council and what is going on with "silence" overall especially considering the female half of the couple, Sofia, was a minor anchor in the net. I always find it fascinating to see the differences in the different designations of the psy and the J designation gives an interesting look into the justice system of this world. I love the continuing looks into the lives of the couples that have previously been written about and their interactions with the others. The evolution of our knowledge of the net mind is also fascinating and seems to be becoming a larger part of this story. This book did really pique my curiosity about Caleb Krycek and I can't wait to find out more about him and what exactly his goals are. Angela Dawe was, as always, a wonderful narrator and differentiates the characters well.

one of my favorites

I love sophia and max. max was a favorite of mine in an earlier book with Talin and Clay's story. there is a lot of wit in this one. I love that sophia gets to learn to play and tease. still don't understand how her internal shields function. excellent addition to series.

Great as ALWAYS!!!

If you could sum up Bonds of Justice in three words, what would they be?

Awesome-Sauce-Ness

Which scene was your favorite?

that would be giving away part of the story. But let's say it has to do with a note, an office and a J-Psy.

Any additional comments?

REVIEW:
Max Shannon is a cop through and through. His goal has always been to seek justice where justice needs to be given. When a serial killer brings Max together with a J-Psy, he realizes he has finally met his match and the woman he wants for the rest of his life. But in order to make this happen Max is going to have to protect her from this killer, her own people and possible herself.

Sophia knows that her time as a J-Psy is coming to an end. Her shields are breaking and when that happens total rehabilitation will happen. After that she will no longer be the person she is today. Realizing that is her future she has all but given up. That is until she meets Max Shannon. There is something about Max that makes her want to fight for a future. But is it too late?

As always Nalini blows me away with her amazing ability to write an amazing story and make it come alive. I always have such a range of emotions with every one of her stories and Bonds of Justice was no different. And again Angela brings Nalini’s characters to life in this audio version. I love that as Angela is narrating I know all the different voice she has for all the characters. She is just an amazing narrator.

I just love this series!! Anyone looking for a great paranormal series you need to grab book one Slave to Sensation and get started. On to the next book!!

Favorite Series

Any additional comments?

Great series!!!! This is my favorite series. Each book builds on the overall world while keeping you interested in the individual romances. A few of the book were about secondary characters that I didn’t care about at the beginning and absolutely loved by the end. This review applies to the first 9 books in the series.
