Great Learning - Especially for TBI survivors

As a Traumatic Brain Injury survivor (TBI) this book was so beneficial in helping me to retrain my brain to learn and remember.

Since my accident I've had trouble retaining written information but after listening to this book and starting to implement the steps and suggestions in the book, I am noticing positive change in my daily life already!

Dancing Can Help Brain Training & Memory Improveme

Each chapter is packed with golden nuggets! I had an idea about multi-tasking but this makes me more clear on when to multitask, something I had been worrying about for a long time. Knowing how dancing can help improve my brain training was a fun idea ... I like dancing. I particularly resonate with his sharp grandma, age is truly not what's slowing us down indeed, I too have a grandma that is still so sharp and funny. And oh yh, this author is a amazingly humorous, he knows how to keep the listener tuned in and smiling.

The narrator's delivery was spot on. Full on great experience all around with this audiobook. I listened it twice and literally just bought a headband earphone to listen to at nights in bed! Brilliant work!

I love this audiobook!

First, the narrator is entertaining and a great orator. The strategy and tips provided in this book are well thought out and easy to digest. It’s actually one of the best audiobooks I’ve listened to. Awesome!

Genius

As someone who works in a call center, my brain is trained to be in the moment then forget. So, sadly I forget a lot of important stuff outside of work. This book has changed my life !

A must read/listen

How you utilize your brain determines your success, happiness, relationships, creativity and, well, your life.

This book puts that in focus (pun intended) and give you the why and how to better utilize your brain.

My point? If you have a brain, this book is a must read/listen.

Brain Aerobics!

This book was not only informative but also very entertaining! Woodruff outlines some great ways to stimulate your brain and memory powers that don't make it feel as if you are 'exercising'. The sections on mental toughness and military training were fascinating. I now know how to eat an elephant! 😉(listen to chapter 9 for explanation) There are great tips throughout. Other favorites are chapters 10 & 11.

I also really appreciated the discussion of the impact of food on the brain - especially the idea of eating certain foods before a particular activity. This whole concept of the effect diet has on the brain is still foreign to many. Enough cannot be said on the subject.

In all, an absolute gem! The book is well written with solid content. Lawrence does the book justice by his excellent delivery. I plan on using the 30-day action plan!

Excellent read

Loved this book. Includes many examples on how to improve long term and short term memory. I particularly liked the Activities to Boost Information Retention. Will definitely apply some of the techniques recommended.

Motivating and Mind Blowing!

Brain Training for Memory Improvement is a must read! There are so many gems packed into this treasure of a book! I’ve learned the secrets of healthy eating to boost my brain’s ability to retain information. It also teaches you how to enable your mental toughness and how it is entwined with your emotional and physical wellbeing. I am super motivated to increase my ability to think and reason more critically and clearly. In the entrepreneurial line of work I’m involved in, this is an absolute GAME CHANGER! Can’t recommend this book enough!

Excellent Guidebook on Brain Training

This is a great book that will help both beginners and those who already practice certain aspects of brain training in their lives. I have been practicing mindfulness and using mind maps for a long time, and have still learnt new things. The summary / review of brain functions and types of memory was very helpful. I found the practical exercises and the 30-day action plan particularly valuable. I definitely recommend this book.
