Action Packed

Rachelle Ayala has done it again! Broken Build, has it all, action, intrigue, suspense, revenge, and even a touch of romance. I loved the high tech aspects of the story too. Definitely worth a listen!

Odd

Odd combination of religion, lust and mystery. Narrator has a strange, huffy way of speaking.

Love a good techno thrilling romantic suspense!

Until the very end, I was unsure of how this book was going to turn out. Rachelle Ayala's Broken Build, the first book in the Chance for Love series, is full of romance and suspense, so many twists and turns and unanswered questions, it easily keeps your attention. Dave Jewel is launching a new shopping app for Black Friday release, and his top build designer, Jen Jones. Dave is a young widow, his infant daughter kidnapped and is set that he will never love another like he did his wife. Jen on the other hand is full of secrets, but is in love with Dave. This unlikely couple has a lot of love-hate that keeps their relationship intriguing while the two try and solve the many mysteries that are currently surrounding them. There are so many characters and plot twists, it is important to pay attention to the story. The way it all ties out will leave you surprised and satisfied with the Dave and Jen and their happily ever after.

Charley Ongel is a wonderful fit for the narration of this book. With the amount of intrigue and emotion that Ayala writes into the story, the narrator needed to be one that could handle the many changes and different characters. Ongel is able to to this with easily distinguishable characters, and the right amount of emotion and energy for this fast paced romantic suspense.

A Real Thriller

Jen is a code writer for Dave's online company. He's trying to get the app written for the upcoming holidays. Jen is being blackmailed into giving code to her ex-fiance's brother. She doesn't give him the correct code. He ends up being murdered and Jen is being accused of killing him. She has a previous connection to Dave as his daughter's babysitter and his wife's best friend six years earlier. Dave's wife dies and then his daughter is kidnapped and hasn't been found. He blames the babysitter (Jen) and she blames herself, too. Jen had plastic surgery, lost weight and changed her last name so he doesn't recognize her. Jen always like Dave and now he's beginning to have feelings for her, too. There are several subplots going on between Jen being blackmailed and Dave having someone blackmail him into thinking they have his daughter. Sometimes Dave believes in Jen and then he turns around and thinks the worst of her. The ending is a real nailbiter! It has some technical terms but nothing that can't be figured out. The ending is really unexpected! I like Rachelle Ayala's books and this is different than her others for me, but I really liked it. Charley Ongel does a wonderful job of narrating. I requested a copy of the book and am leaving my honest opinion. I think you'll like it, too.

Well Written

There was a lot of action and suspense in this storyline and it was certainly well written. It was a long book and took me awhile to get through it and I had to keep putting it down as I found myself losing interest. I found some of the book a bit confusing and I must confess that I just couldn’t bring myself to like either of the main characters, Jen or Dave, at all. There were a lot of characters to sift through and some technical jargon in the storyline. It may be that it just wasn’t my type of story and for those that enjoy some technology in the storyline this would be more up their alley. I am still a fan of Rachelle Ayala’s work, however this story just wasn’t one of my favourites. Charley Ongel did a nice job with the narration. I received a free copy and am providing an unbiased review.

Intrigue in Silicon Valley

Jen Jones has a secret that could effect the job she just got with her new degree and thinner body, but she isn’t the only one with a secret unbeknownst to her. This secret involves the one person who can never find out her boss.
Secrets, lies, deceit, intrigue, angst, twists where you think you have it figured out and there’s a new turn. In the end however there is forgiveness, a new beginning a new family and love.
Thank you Charley Ongel for gifting me this audible book for a fair and honest review.

No one is that bad of a driver and keeps license!

Story was a bit painful. Loved the resolution but it could've resolved multiple times. Dave needs better coping skills. Can he honestly pray once and feel capable of assuming the missionary role so quickly? He's a bit abusive. Jen waffled between brave and victim without much growth. I wanted to root for her but it was rough.
The story has good voice and I'll try another but I didn't ever completely fall in love with the characters.

As always Charley Ongel did an excellent job narrating this book, with all the twist and turn. A must listen to book.

Hold onto your seat...

This story took me on ride filled with intrigue, tension, twists and turns, and romance.

The book involves lots of connections all joining and intersecting each other, much like a web, it seemed that every revelation added more connections each one important in different ways.

Dave and Jen have great chemistry but their pasts both join them together and push them a part.

There was a lot going on during the book and at times I was thinking 'oh my goodness, the tension is killing me', but it was gripping and I couldn't stop listening. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The narration is well done, the character voices were excellent and the delivery is well paced and natural.

Twists & Turns and Lots of Drama

I’m familiar with this author and have enjoyed several of her books. I enjoy reading suspenseful romances and the overall story was interesting, intriguing, suspenseful and had plenty twists and turns.

What I liked the least was all the drama between the main characters. Their relationship was so unpredictable! One minute, they trusted each other, the next they thought the worse of each other. That kept going on throughout the book and just about drove me nuts. There was a lot going on and several characters to keep up. I wish the author had narrowed down a bit the focus and genre. Here you will find too much drama, betrayal, murder, suspense, “bipolar” romance, lots of twists & turns, mystery, savvy Technology, kidnapping, danger, and you can even find a Christian focus towards the end of the book with several bible verses being thrown in there for good measure.

Narration was ok.
