About this listen

An unforgettable science-horror classic by the author of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

Bugged! begins at a college reunion in a moldering mansion in the midst of an isolated swamp. Howard Banks, accompanied by his daughter Karen, is looking forward to seeing his old college chums when his car stops dead. After he gets out to see what the trouble is, hundreds of insects swarm over him and strip the flesh from his bones. Ronald Reid, owner of the mansion, begins to grow concerned for the Banks when hours pass and they fail to arrive, so he sends his butler to look for them. The butler soon discovers their car and Howard’s skeleton beside the road, with a terrified Karen locked inside the vehicle. Thinking what has happened is a freak occurrence, the rest of the alums don’t realize that the horrors are just beginning until other members are attacked by swarms of insects and eaten alive.

This story will give a whole new meaning to being eaten alive. it was a little gory, but I rather enjoyed when the bugs took care of certain people. The book is descriptive, fast-paced, educational, and humorous. I would recommend this book to anyone who is not creeper out about bugs.
I received this book for free upon my request. This is my honest, unbiased review that I am leaving here voluntarily of my own free will.

I liked the storyline but after the 2nd hour already knew whom the villain would be. Fairly predictable but still a ood read.

Pretty decent story

This book reminds me of all of the 1950's creature features, focusing on species gone mad. In this case, they have more than a little help! The first chapter of the book finds a man and his daughter traveling through the swamps to attend a reunion with his fraternity brothers. However, his car is soon overrun by a hoard of insects. When he gets out to clean off the windshield, the insects quickly devour him!

From there, things just get crazier. It seems that one of the "Brothers" is out for revenge and they are slowly killed off in horrific ways by insects. Part "Frogs" and part "And Then There Were None", the culprit is obvious from the start. I am not sure when this book was written, but it had an old school vibe about it with the sexist attitudes and male chauvinism.

The narrator did a pretty good job with the story he was given. All in all, it was entertaining, but definitely not great literature. I would recommend this only for those who really love those old Sci-Fi flicks we used to watch when we were kids.

BUGGED BY DONALD F GLUT AND NARRATED BY MASON TELL starts out with Howard Banks and his daughter, Karen on the road to a college reunion of Howards. When his car stops dead in the swamp, Howard gets out and is promptly eaten by hundreds of insects. Karen, who survives and is rescued by one of Howards friends butler is taken to the mansion where she meets Howards friends and who has to convince the friends she is not insane. She then calls the police

After the first hour of the story,in this listeners humble opinion , I pretty much got bored with it The ending was more than predictable . I very seldom give a two star rating but BUGGED pretty much deserves it.

I recieved this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
