Publisher's summary

Paranormal women’s fiction from number one Amazon best seller J.R. Rain and New York Times best seller H.P. Mallory!

Time to walk softly and carry a big stake....

I had it all. A powerful coven. A charming Victorian mansion. A sexy car. A couture closet. Credit cards up the wazoo, and an endearing familiar. Actually, scratch that, Hellcat would never be described as "endearing". More like: the bane of my existence. So, I almost had it all.

Then a vampire came along and ruined it when he turned me into a Blood Witch.

Now, I’ve been kicked out of my coven, kicked out of the mansion, I have no credit to speak of, the Lexus is a thing of the past, and not only am I driving something from the '80s, but it’s also unapologetically yellow. And rusted.

But the biggest kicker of all? I’m still stuck with Hellcat.

Even though my luck has too much in common with a toilet, if Wanda Depraysie is anything...it’s determined. Determined to make a go of things all by myself—determined to start over.

So, I pack up the few items I can actually call my own and move to the only place that doesn’t fall under coven ownership—a little town in Oregon called Haven Hollow.

Imagine my surprise when I find out a gypsy has already taken up residence in this afterthought of a town. Well, no worries, witch magic trumps gypsy magic, and I’ll make short work of her. After all, Haven Hollow is way too small for the two of us.

No, the gypsy won’t be an issue. It’s my new landlord who’s going to be the death of me...possibly quite literally. Why? Because he’s none other than the vampire who turned me into a Blood Witch in the first place, thereby ruining my life.

Lorcan Rowe is the most infuriatingly smug, irritatingly determined, and offensively nosy person I’ve ever met, and if my magic were functioning correctly, I’d hex him into oblivion.

But, that’s just it—my magic is on the fritz. And that won’t do—especially when I need to open my enchanted clothing store, Wanda’s Witchery, yesterday.

When my fabrics go missing at the same time that my magic stops working, I can only blame one person: Lorcan.

Well, that vampire is about to learn a very valuable lesson—you don’t mess with a witch, blood or otherwise, because when the going gets tough, the tough get a really sharp stake.

Great cozy mystery

This was a great cozy mystery. I really liked Wanda and felt bad as her magic went wonky. The narrator was very good.

Great second book love Wanda

I really liked this book it is the second in the series that I have heard and the narration is on key. I do wish the story was a little bit longer. I would have liked to have heard a little bit more from this character and her story.
Do you think it is kind of nice how the second book focused on a different character. So we get to learn more about the people who are going to be part of the whole haven hollow universe. I do not want to give any spoilers about this story but I do have to say I loved the banter that she had with her familiar hell cat.
I am looking forward to hearing the third book in the series and I do hope that there are more to come.

What is a Witch to Do?

Enjoying this series. I like the character development where the characters of book one continue to have parts in this book (#2). Wanda, a witch, continues to have all kinds of misfortunes. She comes to restart her life in a new town and every goes wrong. Her magic doesn’t work, her furniture never made delivery, her fabric she was going to use to open her business was stolen. She has no money and she can’t get rid of the Vampire that kissed her. Good mystery with paranormals! Great narration! 👍

Perfect in every way!

Wanda’s seen better times, a fresh start in Haven Hallow is just what she needs. Then she sees HIM, Lorcan Rowe, the Vampire that turned her into a Blood Witch and ruined her life. Seems this fresh start just got a wee bit complicated. Cashmere Curses is the fabulously written, uproariously funny, second entry into the Haven Hollow series and it is simply divine! New, fully developed characters mingle with some of the characters I came to love from book one, providing both continuity, community building, and a wonderful “feel” to this story! It really makes me want to continue onto the other books in the series! The plot is fresh, unpredictable, and so entertaining! The performance of the narrator is off the charts fabulous! I love the voicing choices! They FIT the characters! The sense of comedic timing in the narrators delivery is perfect! I had to stop, back up and replay several times because I was just laughing too hard to hear the next lines. This audiobook was the perfect combination of superb writing brought to glorious life by superb narration and I loved every single five star moment!

A Quirky Town & Fun Story!

Cashmere Curses brings us back Haven Hollow and a new witch in town. I was torn on Wanda's character through most of the book not liking her attitude much, but as events unfolded she slowly grew on me. The end of the story left me happy with the newest edition this quirky town. Great audio narration and fun story!

Good witchy story

This is the second in the series but works well as a standalone. I like the characters and want to see what happens next. I received a free copy and left my honest review

I Honestly Didn't Want to Enjoy This

What's a good description of the main character? Arrogant and full of herself, and a first class bit.. But those are her good traits. Seriously triggered my "I hate this character" vibes. It was necessary though, it provides background for what a witch in this author's opinion is, in a word... conceited.
But this little town is all about killing people with kindness, and Wanda is in their sites. She doesn't stand a chance.
Looking forward to more from this series.

Watch Out for Wanda!

Cashmere Curses is the second book in the Haven Hollow series. In this book, Wanda is a blood witch. She was turned into a blood witch by a vampire who did so to save her life. As a result, however, she was banished by her coven and sent to exile in Haven Hollow. Who should be her next door neighbor? None other than Lorcan Rowe, the vampire who turned her. Downgraded to pinching pennies and accepting charity from her new friends and neighbors, Wanda struggles to accept her new reduced circumstances. In addition, strange events occur and Wanda embarks on an investigation to discover who is behind the dastardly deeds.

I enjoyed this book although not as much as I did the first book. I found Wanda to be very unlikeable although she began to develop some redeeming qualities by the end of the book. We really get to know Lorcan and some of the other residents of Haven Hollow as well as getting a small peek at Poppy as well. This book establishes a second story line that offshoots from Poppy’s ongoing story line in Gypsy Magic. I look forward to seeing how Wanda develops.

Kelley Huston, again does an admirable job narrating this book. She has Wanda’s voice down pat!

It should be noted that is book does not follow directly from the first book in the series but essentially establishes a second story line where some of the same town characters from Book 1 interact. I look forward to seeing how these two story line ultimately come together.

Full of wit(ch) and charm

Wanda is a tough gal to love at first but it’s hard not to be charmed by her humor and wit. Her chemistry with the other characters is top notch, and often delightfully dysfunctional.
