Publisher's summary

To be or not to be.

.When a minority race of telepaths is wrongly suspected of causing a near-devastating tidal wave, Private Kaylin Neya is summoned to Court—and into a PR nightmare. To ease racial tensions, the Emperor has commissioned a play, and the playwright has his own ideas about who should be the focus….

But Kaylin works her best magic behind the scenes, and though she tries to stay neutral, she is again drawn into a world of politics…and murder. To make matters worse, Marcus, her trusted Sergeant, gets stripped of his command—leaving Kaylin vulnerable. Now she's juggling two troubling cases, and even magic's looking good by comparison. But then, nobody ever said life in the theater was easy….

Making the rounds .

Would you listen to Cast in Fury again? Why?

I will listen to this series again . This book in particular took me along with Kaylin through the adventure of this investigation. Then it got me in trouble with my self for the lack of sleep it caused. But I couldnt put it down,

Which scene was your favorite?

The battle with the outcast dragon mage was absolutely spellbounding. Totally enthralled I was suprized again . Action, mystery and envolvement are not in any small amount here.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the tainted baby was accepted into the foundling halls to be raised by Marin I was happy ,forgetting this was a fictional story.

Any additional comments?

You will enjoy this I am quite sure.

She is growing up, and finding herself

I was low on credits and looking for something new. I tend to stick squarely to romance novels, and vampires, witches, and werewolves. Needless to say I was browsing free novellas and came across Cast in Moonlight. It was soon that I was hooked, it still was a fantasy and it dealt with a side of the supernatural I had yet to consider. I have now read every book in the series, and I am aching for more. What a good storyline. I feel like I know Kaylin I am empathic to her cause, and I still feel on the edge of my seat with each new book. It's such and interesting way to picture a fictional world, and what it would be like to have to deal with the day to day in a time an place unlike ours. The storyline is deep, and funny, giving way to a strong willed child and her life as see grows into a formidable women. Each new book builds on the last, however unlike most series of books, the ending doesn't leave you hanging. Michelle closes it up in such a way that you want more, but you also know that this portion of Kaylin life is complete.

This is a very good fantasy series

If you are looking for a fantasy series that really delves into the characters and the storylines...Then this series is for you. Its a comfortable read with subtle moral themes added that make the stories have meaning to them. It is a rather long series which some folks enjoy because they get to explore more of the world Michelle Sagara created. I have read all of the books as well as this one and have enjoyed each and every one of them. I am on to next installment of the series after leaving this review.

I am sure this is building up to something worth r

I really enjoyed this book because it let us learn more about leontine culture. I am also really appreciating just how much the characters are growing. No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, and everyone learns to live with the consequences. I also enjoyed how the author addresses fear and the way fear is dealth with.

the narrator did a great job with the book. The one thing I noticed was that the dragon outcast didn't always have the sibilant voice, and when he did, it reminded me very much of listening to Ender's Game and other books with the queen. I am looking forward to CAST IN SILENCE now.

Cast in Fury

I have been listening to these books since I received an Audible deal on the first one. They really have caught my interest. There are a few missteps by the author like using "phoned" instead of "mirrored" but they are a great listen. The narrator's performance add depth.

Best of series so far

I loved the view we got of the Leotine life. This book shows how the relationship between the two pivotal characters developed. It also showed the love and respect Marcus has for Kaylin. It makes his treatment of her at work make more sense (the beloved grumpy dad that all the kids have wrapped around there fingers.) Loved the character development. Less of Lord Nightshade and more of Severin.

Great story

Love this story but sometimes I want to smack Kaylyn... Or the writer for not having her grow a little more mature.. Ha ha... At times I want to strangle her but I can't stop listening and just love all the characters

nice

like the voice actor and characters just wish neah would stop saying but and that sometimes to much talking and not enough action gets me testy.
