A breath of fresh air

This is the third in the series and it reinforces that Ellie Nelson is someone you would enjoy just sitting down with for a chat. Other characters in the book feel much the same. Something I love is that the characters behave as they are portrayed. Good characters again in this book. We have mostly normal people as in the real world, with the occasional pompous jerk, the annoying twit, the steadfast companion etc.
Keep 'em coming!
Again Danielle Bryn does a credible job of narrating.

this book was given to me at my request for review

I truly enjoyed this book and couldn't stop listening until the end. Sorry that Billy was killed yet glad the killer was caught. Loved the way the gold was found.

Murder Mystery

The narrator did a great job in voicing the characters.
The main character has to solve 150 year old mystery, which I thought was a difficult thing to do but if you know where to look then you end up with a trail.
If you love murder mysteries then this is for you.

Another great mystery!

Ex-DA turned shop owner, Ellie Nelson is at it again, finding more bodies, and getting into trouble. This time Ellie and her bestie audition as extras for a reality treasure hunter series. Ellie reluctantly becomes entangled in yet another murder involving a handsomely mysterious reenactor, sleezy Hollywood directors, treasure maps, and area history dating back to the Civil War, Full of her usual spunk and self-endangering curiosity she and her friends make a scene, in more ways then one! Lots of comedy, a little romance, and big mystery. This series and narrator do not disappoint, and as always I look forward to more to come. LOVED IT

This was the first book i read by this author. The story was great and kept me entertained through out the book. The characters were well developed and i enjoyed the interaction between each character. I definitely would like to listen to more in this series. The narrator, Danielle Bryn did a great job. I received this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

Fun Story, Easy to Listen to, Great Narration

"I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

This was a fun story to listen to, five hours flew by but didn’t feel rushed. One regret is that I listened to the this book before the first two in the series, so some previously established background was missed. The main character is strong and independent; but also quite relatable. Writing is really quite good, descriptive and well paced. I’ll definitely look to listen to other books in this series.

Narration, at least in my opinion, was just perfect. Her voice in inflective, and suits the main character. Made this well written story sing!

Nice but murderous!

re-enactors, TV-film-industry, law-enforcement, cozy-mystery, women-sleuths, murder-investigation, greed

Good read! What's not to like? A possible treasure, Cavalry re-enactors, beautiful landscapes, an artist/ex prosecutor, and a hot FBI guy. Well, there's the murder and a lecherous director for starters. But the mystery is quite well done, enjoyable, and just the right length. Strong, interesting characters that work well together provide good continuity and suspense.
Danielle Bryn has a clear, crisp, easy to listen to voice that adds to the story.
