About this listen

Starting your life over at age 38 isn't easy, but that's what Sarah Winston finds herself facing when her husband CJ runs off with a 19-year-old temptress named Tiffany. Sarah's self-prescribed therapy happily involves hitting all the garage and tag sales in and around her small town of Ellington, Massachusetts. If only she could turn her love for bargain hunting into a full-time career!

But after returning from a particularly successful day searching for yard-sale treasures, Sarah finds a grisly surprise in one of her bags: a freshly bloodied shirt...that undoubtedly belongs to her ex, CJ, who now happens to be Ellington's chief of police. If that's not bad enough, it seems Tiffany has gone missing. Now it's up to Sarah to prove that her cold-hearted ex is not a cold-blooded killer.

A very cosy mystery that has flawed characters and interesting plot. Narrator does a great job with the reading.

Charming cosy mystery

Once I started I could not put it down. I was correlating my suspects but, in the end you're thrown a BIG curve ball as too who done it.

Action Suspenseful all the way

exciting

Main character was annoying. Unreal that she would put up with police harassment and not contact a lawyer? After all is said and done it was still ok that the police had harassed her? I have a problem with this.

Police Harassment Is OK?

First let me give kudos to the narrator for a job well done, made it a little bit more tolerable. For the book, I found the main character frustrating. she stumbles into situations which is fine, but many of them don't connect and she is continuously harassed and just takes it unnecessarily. felt like there was great potential with this story line that didn't show itself. would not recommend

frustrating book

Sometimes you read a cozy mystery series for the 1st time and you are disappointed in either the writer, the story, or the narrator. Not this one. The author hit it out of the ballpark.

well written

This is a pretty good mystery. However, Sarah is annoying. Some of her actions are irrational , but, for the most part the story is pretty good. What really bothered me is the severity of harrassment Sarah endures without reporting it to her ex husband. That part of the story is unrealistic and idotic.

Pretty Good
