Publisher's summary

A cat with a distaste for a certain cologne.

A pet shop owner seeking justice.

A billionaire dead.

Trinity Ashford owns the Tail Waggin’ Pet Day Care and store. Every morning, the kindly Mr. Armstrong brings her coffee. At least until his handsome son, Brad, shows up wanting to change everything. Then, Trinity finds the elderly Mr. Armstrong murdered and is determined to prove his son is the killer by using the old man’s cat, Moses, as a witness.

The cat hates the scent of the cologne Brad wears. Trinity is convinced it’s the same brand the killer must have worn in order for the cat to react as he did. No one believes her, but she is determined to prove the cat is a viable witness.

As she seeks to prove Brad the murderer, she realizes he is far from a killer, and the two of them end of teaming together to find out the identity of the real killer. From small-town strips malls to penthouses, and country clubs, they check off suspects one by one until they get too close and find themselves facing death.

Cat Eyed Witness

This was a fun and enjoyable cozy mystery! The characters were enjoyable. Trinity’s humorous take on everything was so fun. She gets herself involved in different laugh out loud moments, especially when her new employee gets involved. She is determined to find out who killed Mr. Armstrong. And she is determined to get his cat involved in the investigation. I felt that the narration of the audiobook was really good.

Fun entertaining book

Cat-Eyed Witness is the first in the Tail Waggin’ Mystery series by Cynthia Hickey. I enjoyed this cozy book very much. The characters are believable and sometimes quirky. The plot is good with some twists. The narration by Anna Wheeler is very good. Her performance gives each character a unique voice and brings the characters to life. I’ve also read the 2nd in the series and will read the others. I recommend this book and the series!

Cats Never Forget

Cat-Eyed Witness is Book 1 in A Tail Waggin Mystery by Cynthia Hickey. I thought that Cat-Eyed Witness was outstanding. I loved the characters and Moses the cat and his tail waggin friends are so much fun! I believe that Cynthia Hickey did a fantastic job of laying the foundation for the series while writing a solid mystery. When Mr Armstrong was murdered, his friend, Heather, along with Brad Armstrong, worked to find out who the murderer was. I think that this should be an outstanding series. Anna Wheeler brought the story to life and truthfully, I was sad to see the ending come...guess I will just have to listen to Book 2, The Dog Found a Body, for more furry fun.

Does Trinity keep her shop?

This is the first book by this author that I have read or listened to. I enjoyed the story but thought the narrator just wasn’t right for this book. The narrator’s voice is too soft and gentle. I picture Trinity as a reluctant but strong individual.

I found the story to be well-plotted with plenty of twists. I cannot wait for the next installment even though I’ll probably read it instead.

Trashcan and Shark Bait

I was having fun as soon as I heard those cat names. This was an enjoyable cozy mystery that I would recommend. An engaging story and likeable characters. Narrator really grew on me by the end too.

A big disappointment

I don't know who chooses the narrators, but it was a wrong choice here. This is horrible. I can't even listen to it. A total waste of money. It may be a good book to read, but this is awful.
