Publisher's summary

Jack's a retired cop from New York, seeking the simple life in Cherringham. Sarah's a Web designer who's moved back to the village to find herself. But their lives are anything but quiet as the two team up to solve Cherringham's criminal mysteries. This compilation contains episodes 16 - 18:

The Last Puzzle:
When amiable old village eccentric Quentin Andrews dies, the good folk of Cherringham are astonished at the crowd that turns up to his funeral. But even more astonished are the beneficiaries of his will: Quentin has left a veritable fortune to whomever is the first who can solve an intricate 'Cherringham crossword'. That puzzle is only the first of many that Jack and Sarah will uncover as they follow the treasure hunt for clues and learn the truth about who Quentin Andrews really was. And the biggest mystery of them all... was he - in fact - murdered?

Final Cut:
When a big movie production comes to Cherringham, complete with lords, ladies, and flashing swords, the whole village is abuzz with excitement. But when a series of dangerous accidents threatens the life of the young lead, Zoe Harding, Sarah and Jack get involved. Are these really accidents? Or could they be something more sinister - even deadly? Who is trying to destroy the career of the beautiful young star - and why?

The Vanishing Tourist:
When an American tourist goes missing in Cherringham, the local police don't see reason for concern - people often wander away from such tours. But when that tourist's sister shows up from New York, desperately looking for answers, Jack and Sarah become convinced there's more to the disappearance than meets the eye. Soon, they are entangled in a mystery with a secret history of betrayal, sacrifice, dishonour... and death.

Set in the sleepy English village of Cherringham, the detective series brings together an unlikely sleuthing duo: English web designer Sarah and American ex-cop Jack. Thrilling and deadly - but with a spot of tea - it's like Rosamunde Pilcher meets Inspector Barnaby.

Co-authors Neil Richards (based in the UK) and Matthew Costello (based in the US), have been writing together since the mid 90's, creating content and working on projects for the BBC, Disney Channel, Sony, ABC, Eidos, and Nintendo to name but a few. Their transatlantic collaboration has underpinned scores of TV drama scripts, computer games, radio shows, and - most recently - the successful crime fiction series Cherringham. The narrator of the audiobook, Neil Dudgeon, has been in many British television programmes including the roles of "DCI John Barnaby" in "Midsomer Murders" and "Jim Riley" in "The Life of Riley".

So good

I've waited to write a review until I'd listened to all of the series available in English. I really enjoyed them all and hope there will be many more. Neil Dudgeon is such a gifted narrator, one of the very best. He is a master of accents.
These mysteries are just right for me. Interesting subjects that keep me guessing. More please!

Need More!

I love these stories. They are short and easy, and not too anything. Just nice and cozy. I know there are more in German, so I hope they get them in English too. I have
all of them.

Just wonderful- but a huge mistake in one story

I groaned out loud when Zoe was hospitalized for an overdose of Toradol and the authors described it as a powerful opioid. NO!! It's an NSAID, not even close to being an opioid, UGH!! So, none of that made any medical sense at all. That was such a basic research error.
The episodes and characters are so entertaining, and the narration is wonderful. Please keep them coming.

Cherringham seriesstands at the pinnacle of for performance and Brit cozy mystery storyline!

Neil Dudgeon (beloved asD.C.I Barnaby in the Midsomer Murders) brings his Wonderful voice & very excellent acting talent to bring applaudable life to Cherringham and all its characters. This is no flat reading of the story! Dudgeon gives a 3-D vibrancy to each character’s personality, actions, & dialogue. If readers like Cozy, I cannot praise this series enough. The writing (by Costello, etc.) is so well-plotted & carries on thru the series as character relationships develop. I am very glad the series is continuing. It’s time to heap awards on this series!

Great little British mystery series.

I LOVE this series. Little or not so little crimes are solved quickly by a retired New York detective and a divorced British mother of 2 in a sleepy British town. I like how short the stories are. Each story is finished within a little more than 2 hours of audio. Neil Dudgeon is a charismatic narrator who has the ability to develop a rich voice for every character. Jack's New York accent may be a little overdone, but it still works in the story. I wish I could find this in print form as my father won't do Kindle or Audible. It's the kind of series he would also enjoy. I'm anxiously awaiting the remaining books on Audible.

An English cozy with lovable characters

If you love cozy mysteries without all the fluff (romance & recipes) of other cozies, then this series is for you! Each episode is a stand-alone book so you don’t necessarily need to go in order. The narration is so well done, and Niel gives life to Jack & Sarah, who I have grown very fond of.
My only complaint is the music in between books. I wish they would either remove it or make it less loud & abrasive

Fun listen

Easy to listen to in the car or while doing chores, nice way to pass the time. One of the better cosy mysteries I’ve listened to.
