Best post-apocalyptic series on Audible

It was a long wait for book 3 but it was well worth it. The story line is well thought out and the choice of narrator is a perfect match. You can tell David Wilson is very worried about what could happen in this world and I think it shows very well in his book. I have and will continue to listen to this series over and over again. I would highly recommend this whole series to anyone that enjoy the more realistic and serious post-apocalyptic stories.

Continuing a great story

This book was a long wait for it to be completed. But I get the authors reasoning for the delay. I thought the story was great, though some parts were a bit slow. What sets this series apart from most is the author knows what equipment would be needed and the tactics. I like he descriptiveness of most equipment Talon is using. It just makes any story so much better when the author has real world experience, with the things being written. Can’t wait for the next book.

great series

I've enjoyed Talon's journey, I sure wish the books were longer or less time between volumes. That does get explained in the intro, so I'm hopeful the time between installments will condense moving forward.

Great series

Great story line during a catastrophic event. Character development is good and author describes items used by the characters. Looking forward to next book already.

Loved the 3 book series!

Hope installment 4 isn't as long a wait. Author knows his stuff and his gear.

Like the story

The fact that this series actually made it to publication makes me wonder. I don’t know who edits these books but whomever it is needs to listen to them. The author’s non use of synonyms is blatant when you’re listening. Often repeating the same word or phrase in one sentence makes me think the narrator is accidentally repeating himself.

I enjoy the genre and am willing to let the author’s shortcomings go. The story itself is solid. I just hope we don’t have to wait another three years for the next one.

Lay off political hot topic, culture war, BS… stopped listening.

Stopped listening about an hour in. Would return if I could. Too much droning on and pontificating about the author's political hot topics. It's like he took every popular fox news talking point and decided to give his viewpoint on it. This comes from someone pretty center of the aisle that finds ultra-PC shit annoying, is a gun owner, understands the need for (and supports) police and the military. etc.

Doesn't even make sense to talk about this kind of thing in the third book about some apocalyptic scenario. Well into a situation like this, the character isn't going to give a sh*t about "kids these days", antifa, politics, political correctness, "woke" culture, critical race theory.. yet here he is ranting on about them all. I'm sure if I would have listened more we'd touch on immigrants, inner cities, trans people, the border, Obama, "sheeples", etc etc etc. Doesn't even fit in the story, feels like the author just wanted a stage to share his views. The guy would be concerned about food, shelter, safety, and just getting by. Not complaining about stupid, petty disagreements of the old world.
