Publisher's summary

Charlie and her two companions must find a way out of the big city, or die trying.

Charlie is good at her work. As a hard-charging drug rep with the brains and talent to make it to the top, she has the world at her feet. Then, the lights went out, and everything changed.

An EMP decimates the United States, leaving the country in the dark. With modern technology suddenly and permanently turned off, society's dark side quickly takes over. Caught on the road, she teams up with two new companions and they fight their way towards safety and freedom. Criminals, gangs, and worse stand between them and the safety of a friend's farm.

Great Book bad narrator

Great Series and you can tell how it follows the Home series
Duke Fontaine is not a good narrator. Terrible voice effects, doesn't understand what he's reading and its Five Five Six not Five Fifty Six. Its the little things that he screws up that kill it.

Good, just good.

I’ve listened to all the Going Home books and love them. This book is another, valuable angle giving a reality for anyone in a city/metropolitan area.

It's just getting started

I think this book was mostly a set up for the next ones, but it seems like it's going to be yet again another pretty good story from A. American.

another great start to the series

I enjoyed this book, but I'm like everyone else on this topic of it being to short, besides that the characters are great story was already there, just a different perspective which is cool, but I need a little more bang for my buck like we are getting into the survivalist part and boom it ends, but if your ready A. American I've enjoyed all your books and look forward to more especially the survivalist series and if u got a prepping website I would love to check it out thanks for another great read.

Going Home

I love the Going Home series and this is a great spinoff of that series. The book went by very quickly and now I am ready and waiting for the next book.

If you haven’t read/listened to Going Home, do yourself a favor and get them! The first 10 were excellent, can’t wait for 11!

More Please!!!

I was saddened when the "Home" series ended but it looks like A. American is back (or at least contributing) with another look at the events that started his previous series. Duke Fontaine is an excellent narrator and brings A. American's books to life. Disappointed this was only five hours but with the preview for the next novel included at the end, only guaranteed I will spend more $$$ on this series.
